I have been a Canuck fan for a long time, and I don't remember ever being this excited about the entire franchise from top to bottom. Never once have I really payed much attention to the farm, but I find myself keeping up to date with Utica as much as possible and keeping tabs on how the prospects are doing, same in NCAA. The Canucks always played a slow, yet smart game under AV the last few years with the average age being much higher, they had to play that way to win. This new look team that has Incorporated youth into the lineup is totally refreshing, regardless of the growing pains that we all expected. - Codes1087
I wonder if the technology was like it is today, how exciting things would've been when Manitoba had Bieksa, Burrows, Kesler to follow. Definitely having access makes it a lot more fun to track player progress with ease |

He has made some beauty saves and he has let in some horrible shots. I think with a youthful team, its hard to look "good" when you are introducing a bunch of rookies into the NHL and into a newer NHL club system. Having said that, Markstrom has looked a hell of a lot better in the exact same situation as Miller... Both working with the same roster in front of them. - Codes1087
There are a lot of factors that make each case a little different, but my point was just that both goalies have played really well this year despite some stinker goals. I dont think putting one in over the other will change the results |

Oh without a doubt. I really can't remember hearing much about the Canucks farm team in Manitoba unless there was a intermission segment regarding a few updates on the Moose roster players. |

I think Markstrom will give us a much better chance at keeping games close or winning than Miller right now.
I think if we really want to ride the tank, we play Miller. Stats really don't lie in this case.
Miller - 14-20-8
Markstrom - 10-8-4

He's got whatever Luongo had for a stretch towards the end in Van, make the ridiculous saves but let in the softy. Miller has kept the team in so many games, its not even funny - WhiteLie
He definately is up and down for stretches of time for sure. Better earlier in the season usually but has a good game here and there from there on. Hes had some great games too. Im thinking it should be 50/50 or even 60% markstrom from here on. Probably get the best of miller that way and help markstrom get more seasoning. |

He wanted to trade down and pick Fabbro with our first pick. I told him that was a stupid idea... considering Fabbro is ranked as for down as 20th on some lists.
He called me dumb, and here we are now... |

18th among North American skaters... Let's forget about getting a stud player and go for the next Brent Sopel. - Scooby_Doo
So u pick Fabbro at 20th? Bet he's gone before then.
But if thats possible then a trade for top 7/8 garners more.
Can u elude more to what that is or is 20th outta thin air?
Btw what does Sopel have to with anything other than nothing?

I posed a q.
If its an RHD we want its Fabbro.
Trade down?
Then nummy said 20th pick outta the blue.
His issue is he doesn't under context. |

20th is where Fabbro has been ranked... did I not make that clear twice? smh.
Sopel is a right handed d man... was that not clear? smha.
I will take my site over yours, especially since it proves my point...
If we pick top 5, we take bpa, without a doubt. After that, maybe consider trading down if we don't have a player targeted in that range.
Everyone has their guys they like, you for some reason really like Fabbro, I don't. |

Exactly. Use our pick and then if Fabbro or Bean start to fall, trade Hansen or whomever + a pick to move up.
But for gods sake don't trade down out of the top 5 or 6. |

shows us picking sergachev at #7....his assessment is excellent
"Big tough mobile import defenseman playing in the OHL with a strong heavy point shot. A difficult player to beat one on one because he possesses a strong stride and excellent East-West lateral mobility. Relishes been able to get a big check in on opponents both along the boards and in open-ice. Has good vision and in transition makes good home run outlet passes. And although he on occasion will hold on to pucks a bit long, or get careless in his carries, he displays good passing skills. When you see a junior defender with this size ,mobility mixed with a dose of nasty, you have to think he goes off the board early no matter how much the pro game is evolving "
Definitely sounds great. Better than chychruns written assessment. If the write ups are accurate I'd rather take this pick |

I seen the comments , I agree with Scooby, in a rebuild year you keep the higher draft pick.
Fabbro isn't a difference maker. There are plenty of other Dmen that you can draft around 15 -35 area.
We also drafted 3 Dmen last year and have Tryamkin Pedan Larsen on the team next year.
We can trade for a good RHD. |

OK, so can't call the Sedins "sisters" anymore around here.. Apparently that gets people banned. Sensitive bunch.
Anyways, I'd really like to see the canucks trade them. I don't see them retiring for another 4-5 years which is a long time before officially beginning a rebuild.
Is the plan seriously to keep them around till they retire? Can the fans wait that long to start winning?

This team needs first line forwards to replace the Sedins and a legit 1a) 1B) Dman. Easiest way to acquire these players is drafting top 10. We have a fair bit of depth but we need young game breakers
Edit. We also need Dane Fox |

You've been flagged again. Don't come back.
Sedins are staying, we love them. Now piss off. |
