202cm is 79.5 inches, which is 6.625 feet, which is 6'-7.5" tall. Like I said, end result was correct - WhiteLie
Hmmm....what am I missing? I divided 202cm by 2.5 which is the conversion to inches and get 80.8
divide by 12 for feet is 6.733333...thats what I got there....is a step missed? |

Im thinking Demko is going to be too good to even consider moving him for even the #1. Decent forwards grow on trees. Goalies this good are extremely rare. And how many #1's have we seen be a bust? I'd stick with the sure bet in Demko. - SMBDragon
I dont necessarily disagree with what you said, but for devils advocate and conversation, I would argue that Matthews is better than a decent forward as he is being compared to Kopitar. Also each team has a good starting goalie and a goalie prospect, so the market for goalies is saturated, remember being shocked at Schneider only getting the 9th overall pick? I think with how many talented goalies there are pushing for playing time in the NHL and AHL, Demko could be replaced by someone not as good, but good enough for the team to succeed |

202cm is 79.5 inches, thats a difference of over an inch.
Also 6.733333 is actually 6'-8 (almost 9). 6.5ft (or six and a half feet) is actually 6'-6", you have to convert the decimals back to inches.

theres different perspectives for sure. My point was there isnt many THIS good.
the 9thOA pick doesnt surprise me because it was right at the draft, last minute too. Thats when prices go sky high for 1st rd picks.
We need someone to replace miller in a year (or less hopefully), we have decent depth on forward. |

thats because someone screwed up on the conversion. He is 202 cm. convert to inches....79.5276....divide by 12 for feet....6.6273 he is 6'7.524".
for all those who want to see him score, hit and fight....here he is

Big, hopefully he can bring the snarl.
I'm 6'3 and 1/4 in the morning and 6'2" and 3/4" at night, spinal compression, the taller you are the more it impacts you. Safe to say he's probably 6'8" in the morning and a hair under 6'7" at night. |

Some of you know my field is medicine....I can tell you from my knowledge of pharmacology that most if not all performance drugs are actually medication for actual conditions.....or at least previously developed for a medication for that condition. So its not that unusual.
I'm starting to think pro athletes should be registering any ongoing medication with their league and filing their prescriptions so that their league actually has a heads up that they actually require this medication. End of unwarranted scandals. - SMBDragon
Really good point. On the other side of the coin it only give them a better opportunity to punish. Its like at work when you have a near miss and they want you to report it. Nothing happened but it almost did and we want you to report it so we can punish you accordingly for something that didn't happen...but it could have. |

I used my calculator 4 times and got 80.8 inches each time. 202 div 2.5=80.8
I dont think theres no extra step needed...you just div again by 12 and 6.73333 that method gives you exact amount in feet and inches. Thats why the answer was correct. |

I agree he is looking to be really good, but in the last 20 years, the Stanley Cup winner has had the Vezina trophy winner twice in the same season, and 6 times was a goalie the conne smythe winner (with one being the loser). I just dont think that goalies are as valued as they used to be. Also Markstrom is a capable replacement, and there are FA's who can split duty or back up in the meantime. |

yes height difference does occur correct. The amount may depend on age and condition of your discs. Taller will see a greater degree yes you are correct. |

Just try googling the steps, your conversion is should be 2.54 which is why youre off by an inch to start. And like I said 6.73333 is actually 6feet and 8.8 inches because a foot is 12 inches and not 10 you have to convert the decimals back to inches by multiplying by 12 |

thatd be the point of having a registry, so they can register medically necessary meds. You cant blame a guy for being on say heart meds...Itd be rare in sports but hey things happen. Mild asthma would be more common. Blood meds for increasing Hematocrit as well.
Basically they cant punish you for meds you need if its deemed necessary. Have a MD to oversee the registry to catch for frauds or mexico / slash online prescriptions. |

ahhh. 2.54...I was always taught 2.5 growing up.
I have heard however that there is more than 1 system and depends on country of origin. I dont know if its true but Ive heard it several times. I did grow up in canada however so it should be the same. Imperial inches I think it was called. small discrepancy that apparently in russia made them list him as 6'6 instead of 6'7.5
funny though we still got the same answer |

Yeah it is funny that the answer came out the same, it's likely due to the fact that while 1 foot = 12 inches
1 foot 5 inches is not 1.5 feet its (5/12=0.416) 1 foot 4.2 inches.
Thus concludes our math lessons for the day.
Back to the hockey b!tch and jerk!

Just exactly what you need huh? And people wonder why these drugs have weird side effects. |

lol then I don't understand your statement. I relayed all the townhall dialogue from twitter to here so that people knew what was being said, but I always thought they were ridiculous. The only time I have ever mentioned Tanbir is today, and only because he is the only one I can remember attending the Summitt and being such a whiny baby the entire time. People gave him props for ragging on a management group who is in a rebuild and he wanted a CUP. The guy is a LOSER - Codes1087

Here is what I am hoping happens today.
We lose 6-5.
All six goals scored in the first 5 mins. Weber and Bart on ice for all against. That way Benning does not see some good and does not bring them back.
Markstrom lets on all goals but they are deflections and screens. Does not break hos confidence.
Miller comes in relief and stops 60 shots. But is hung out to dry in multiple odd man rushes. Gets frustrated and wants to leave in the off season.
Varby get a hatty and Hammer gets 2 goals and 3 assists. Ends the year with 10+ goals and 20 points. We trade his rights for a 3rd. Varby ends the year with 20+ goals and we trade his rights for 6th. |
