Jultz was terribly bad this year... and that says a lot from previous years... Purcell could have been retained but TBH for where we are- whats the sense in keeping him? I hope Chia blows it up - its all fuct when you are on the verge of a 5th 1st overall pick - major pieces need to be let go... I hope at least 2 of Yak, Eberle, Hall and or Nuge are traded for different pieces... Pieces we needed for years...

Jultz was terribly bad this year... and that says a lot from previous years... Purcell could have been retained but TBH for where we are- whats the sense in keeping him? Maybe if its deserved? He has done little to improve the team and now there is McDavid and a developed Draisaitl that Mac didn't have to fall back on to be able to move other pieces. I am happy with the move to bring in PC and get away from the old boys club, but PC has a much easier job than Mac T did, and has yet to prove anything. Just because he has made some shrewd moves in the past in a desirable & winning market doesn't mean it's a slam dunk in Edmonton.

He's not really talking poop. Jultz is about as soft as they come, and Phils mid rift is a little doughy. Kessel is a good player though, Shultz will probably frustrate the hell out of you. I do wish him luck, and hope a change of scenery and a lesser role help him to find some of his potential. If not, he can light it up with Wilkes Barre.

The Pens board sucks. These guys are fun to talk to (minus a few) and tend to take a more realistic view of their team (regardless of what the trolls from other teams think).

Although it was MUCH more fun before the purge.

I hate Kadri, but he'd be a feisty turd + good checking like center on a contending team. Guy you like on your team but hate facing him.

Getting a pair of 3rd round picks, a pair of 5th round picks and a minor league goalie all for players that had no future here is good asset management.

None of said players were superstars by any stretch and most could be considered addition by subtraction. Especially in the case of Jultz.
