Yeah, we need to at least get a proven and tangible asset back for him. I know you don't like the idea of Eller specifically, but someone of that range. Someone who can bring stability to a position that we've been historically lacking. A legit two-way middle 6 guy (Eller, Wingels, etc) or young 3rd pairing guy (Montour, Beaulieu) are where I'm aiming.

Not saying either situation is straight across as it depends wildly on how the opposing GM values Yak's potential, but those are the sorts of players I'd target.

The Schultz trade is actually a win/win. The 3rd round pick means nothing to the Pens. They'll have 2 second rounders and 3rds usually take a while to develop if they do make it. JS will be a #6 D for Pens being very sheltered vs being given top line type minutes and having high expectations.

Not that he is going to be paired with Letang but maybe he can help out Jultz with his game...pretty low risk for the Pens tho if he doesnt play like they want him to then he is gone after the season anyways
