Meh it's alright. We have a 3 point lead with a couple games in hand. Gotta keep winning is all.

I said to my buddy last night as the game turned past the 10 minutes remaining mark "Who will blink first, MAF or Rask" My prediction was MAF. And as usual, I was correct The Pens have no idea what it takes to beat Rask. Every time they play against him they know they are going to lose. Defeated before the game starts. Cannot score goals against him. If he played all 82 games against the Pens, the Bruins would be 82-0 He is in the Penguins heads and they cannot beat him

Would anyone do maatta for Drouin?

Wouldn't this be part of the reason why the Pens hired the supposed guru of advanced stats? So they wont go after players like that....

I wouldn't give up more than a 6th rounder for Russell. Small soft non offensive dman. What does he do well?

I think so. Im concerned about Maattas foot speed as he gets older. It's already terrible.

No, because as slow as Maatta has looked, he is too important to the team now. Maatta has proved a lot more than Drouin has, and they'd have to include whoever their top D prospect is as well

Let's remember this is just speculation. Pens might have little interest in Russell. I haven't heard anything about specific trade talks other than for Murray.

What about circling back to getting Fowler or vatenen with Lovejoy being out. Would it be picks or player swap?

I still think kuni is gone at deadline for a younger top 6 guy. And then we add more depth like versteeg too

Word is asking price for Ladd is 1st and prospect, two things pens don't have but chi does... Which is good for us.

Yeah, I think it's pure speculation. This guru has to be a line of defence against obtaining players like this.

I think Bonino and a 2nd are the 2 things with value that could be moved to help the team. Seeing guys like polak get 2 2nd round picks also makes me think Cole still has some value. The team absolutely can not waste anything on rentals though

I can't figure out for the life of me why youre running offensive analytics on a defensive D-man??? Isn't Russell up near the top of the league for shot blocking? I dunno I think he's a good defenseman as my team plays against him regularly in the tougher to play in western conference, where defense wins games. He'd be a good pick up for the Pens, as they don't really seem to have any pure defensive defenseman.
