Shink was not a JB type player from the get go. Rumors of him trying to trade him first draft , to tepid reviews when asked about him, and now traded.

The guy had a bunch of injuries and is now leading the SHL in scoring and costs no assets to bring over. No problem with that but that doesnt excuse trading shink for a guy who might not ever even play on this team.

That sounds crazy, so I will say it is just the company line. JB must have some other moves in the works because I think I'd rather see Gaunce as a centre in the bottom 6 than Granlund.

I dont mind him getting more guys on the NHL roster that are under 25, regardless of position to be honest. Every team needs bottom 6 and I dont think Shink was going to be there next year in bottom 6 nor do I see any team sending anything worthwhile in terms of defensive prospects. Maybe Harrington from the Marlies? I think that kind of player would be the market for Shink's value

Honestly I would have preferred harrington if he is a righty. We have loads of centers and wingers all of which are marginal at best and this guy is no different. Take a chance that a team would deal a young righty for a young scoring forward. You win you loose who knows at least its attempting to fix our current problems. This trade does not.

I fully agree give gaunce, grenier anyone the time. Like why bring in another guy who wont make a difference.

Fire him immediately if this is honestly the case cus he should not be running a chapters book store let alone a hockey team if he actually thinks they will make the playoffs and if they do whats the point so they can swept in 4 by the hawks.

Fair enough, I just see this more as JB looking at next season's top 6 D and seeing only a few openings because of Edler, Tanev, Hutton, Sbisa and guys like Pedan filling in for next year
