Grabo has been invisible but I'm having a hard time understanding what the (frank) Bernier brings? Guy is as useless as can be. - Cptmjl

I'd think the Wild would be a good team to get him in against. I know they've been playing better as of late but they are for the most part offensively challenged. Have to love our record with Strait and Zidlicky in the line up it speaks volumes and is pretty scary this road trip is huge for us. - Cptmjl
Wild have played much better/faster since coaching change. They have the talent, just lack dmen to really make some noise, so on that note, i'll say isles lose 2nite bc team does have issues this year winning on the road... |

I don't know if you saw that but awhile back he was talking about Smith like he is now doing with Kadri. - mdw7413
Sadly I missed that. |

Capuano: Halak in goal, Bernier in for Grabovski, same D. No debut for Pulock tonight. Lines: 12-91-18, 86-51-21, 27-29-15, 17-53-16.

Cause having a 101 clapper from the point would be terrible for the PP.... |

He doesn't have teams, he has spread sheets, which are better than watching the games. |

If that's all that was required to play D in the NHL I'm sure he would have been in the lineup by now. |

Capuano said Pulock will play at some point on the trip, but he's just come off back-to-back games Sat/Sun with #BST, so not tonight. #Isles |

Plus Its much easier to blend him in against the Flames & Oilers then it is against one of the hottest teams over the last week or so. Nobody should be surprised by this IMO |

The whole reason that guys like Pelech and Mayfield were called up over Pulock was that his defensive game wasn't where it needed to be. Now, apparently, he's made strides to get his game at-or-about where it needs to be so we'll have to see.
Nobody ever doubted/is doubting his offensive abilities, but that's not all that's important. |

They've (The Wild) been playing well of late but the Oilers for all of their dysfunctionality have some high powered offense where as the Wild does not for the most part. Same could be said for the Flames ... Usually. The Wild are 4-5-1 in their last ten but are 4-0 in their last 4. So I see your point but I don't fully agree with it.
Our record with both Strait and Zidlicky in the line up is 500(which is not good) so I'm not thinking this is some kind of nobody should be surprised kind of decision because we had to have Strait and Zidlicky in over the kid. What exactly do those two (frank) twats bring that's indispensable against a team playing well? Don't get me wrong I'm not losing sleep over the decision but I'm having a hard time understanding how it was an easy choice and not surprising? Unless you're referring to it being a stupid decision and I missed your sarcasm? |

Pelech leapfrogged Zidlicky (and Strait) on the depth chart in all of 7 games with the Islanders. I have complete faith that if Pulock can manage not to spray his own viscous diarrhea all over his face while on the ice, that he will do the same. |

I get that but don't call the kid up if he's going to sit. Saying the kid played Sunday and that's why he's not playing tonight is (frank)ing stupid. Just say you want to play your two shat bags that have done nothing but hurt the team the entire season. The record with them in or out of the line up speaks for itself. Like I said I don't really care the kid is not playing but the reasoning here is absurd. |

I don't have an issue with letting him sit a game and get acclimated with his teammates in practice. Now if he's benched until next week, sure...it makes no sense and I'll be livid.
Let the kid get comfortable and settled in before his first game. Let him get used to playing with the guys for an extra three days. Then toss him to the wolves.
He played back-to-backs, came down to the Island, practiced and then got on a plane to Minnesota. Let him get his feet under him. I'm sure your first NHL game is a pretty stressful one. |
