I'd take Lidholm straight up for Ladd in a heartbeat. I also think your Vatanen + for Drouin is probably close. i can see the Flyers offering Sanheim + for Drouin as well

Love to see Lindholm here, but I think it would take more than Ladd....maybe a Ladd with a contract would help.....

I don't understand the fans around here. Apparently all of 3 people understand that we weren't gonna be in the playoffs this year by design. They dropped all the spare part forwards to get younger up front. Pav and Hutch were never gonna be as good as they were last year. The defence? No idea. Just not as solid for whatever reason. People act like Frolik could've saved us, but he's done very little in Calgary. The Jets will be a playoff team next year, have a great group of young guys, and of the one major trade we've made, we won so hard it makes me laugh. Stafford has been better than Kane, Myers can actually stay healthy, and Armia and Lemieux are gonna be in the top 9 next year.

I agree Ladd is likely gone but I do wish that he wasn't down graded for the performance with the Jets. I was glad he was our captain and think overall he performed very well and represented the city in a very classy manner. he was chosen as the captain and he served the role well. Look at his numbers each season and the competition he faced. For a perhaps second line player, he did very well!

People dump on him too easily and I would love to see some of these complainers at there work place and see how poopty they perform day in and day out.

Would you like to see them in their workplace makin $4.5 million US a year and getting June-September off? Pretty sure they may be ok with their job?

Ladd served us well as a player. It's been obvious since the Track Suit affair, that Wheeler and Buff are the real leaders on the team.
I could be wrong, as I am an outsider, but it seems to me that Kane would have never gotten away with his behaviour with a stronger captain.
Imagine what Messier would have done to Kane years before the track suit incident.

IIRC, it was uncle Dale who traded for Ladd when the 'Hawks got him from the 'canes.

You guys should deal ladd to the canucks benning easily give up our first for him, hell hed probably toss in hutton too if you added a 7th rounder
