We are just over a year and half removed from
Chara Hamilton
Boychuk Seidenberg
McQuaid Krug - Cape Breton Bruins
There has been a lot of alcohol consumed in that year and a half. |

So........the Habs are morons and may trade PK.........
People say it's not possible, but they did trade Roy, one of the best goalies in the history of hockey, after he made a comment to the team President.
Talk about and arrogant team and fan base. "No ones bigger than the team."
Umm.......what are you idiots talking about?
I find the whole thing pretty funny! |

So for arguments sake. When chara retires, and likely gets into the Hall at some point do the Bruins retire his number? Considering what he brought to a franchise that was absolute turd for years before he arrived |

Therrien will go before PK does... it was probably Therrien that told the media they were shopping PK to make it look like his job was safe haha...
I think "no ones bigger than the team" is a good attitude to have and I don't know why you would bash that. I do think that PK carries a "me, me, me" type attitude, but in this situation I don't think PK is the guy acting like he is bigger than the team... Therrien is. He's doing the "you play the way I want you to play, or you don't play" thing right now (which he's notorious for)... PK made one mistake and it cost his team the game... I think he should have been bigger about it and owned up to his mistake. Instead I think he said all of the wrong things in that situation, but for Therrien to bench him was Therrien thinking he was bigger than the team.
The Roy situation was a bit different... they have an awesome documentary on the NHL network about it... if you haven't seen it, I would definitely recommend it.
If they were to actually shop PK... I know he's a great player... but I would not want him on the Bruins. Off the ice he seems to do all the right things and acts like a great guy... but on the ice he's a showboat and a flopping scumbag ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bK2EJhuHsl0). He may be great, but I just wouldn't want that kind of guy on my team. |

I'd love to see Chara's number hung in the rafters... right after he retires... at the end of this season |

It just seemed a bit strong for him screwing up like he did. Marchand makes that stupid turnover just over the O blueline all the time.
Just the way it is when the locker room implodes like it is up there I guess. |
