I'd assume that the best we could get for Medvedev is a mid-late round pick. I wonder if they'd give Radovan Bondra and a 5th or 6th. A big guy on the left side would be nice to see in the system. He doesn't have eye popping stats, but could be a solid pick up. - Coleman
yeah a third may be the ceiling, but a 4th would not be bad either. The guy is not part of our future and was a nice low cost filler for a year. If we can get any return on a player that probably would not be back next year anyway, its a win.
Plus we have another Russian ready to fill his spot next year, just a lot younger with far greater potential.
You crossed the line when you called us all troglodytes. How dare you make me look that word up.
Seriously though if you're going to come in here just to antagonize without adding any competent thoughts you should expect some sort of response. I'd acknowledge the original comment but Bill handled that one pretty well. - TobyFlenderson

This would be stupid!
It would turn our soft tank, into a hard one. - puckhead17
Yup, see the edit on the original post. I meant Medvedev, not Schenn. Dammit, this is what happens when I comment sober!

Yes, not a good penalty for him to take. He'll have his lapses like that, though not as many as he used to. The organization was not all that happy with him -- in quite a few areas of his game -- after his first AHL season. He did a 180 last year and has continued to improve this season. - bmeltzer
sometimes it takes a bit for a kid to click in....I think he's playing pretty good. you can always find a spot for a kid who can score as long as the rest of his game doesn't kill ya.
My bad for jumping like that, sorry.
I want to see Schenn extended, that's the reason Hartnell was dealt, for his, & Couturier's extensions. - puckhead17
Agree 100%. I wasn't sold on Schenn at the start of the season, but his play over the last 6 weeks or so has convinced me. Get him signed, Hexy. Seems like trading his brother has actually improved his play, go figure.

But the Flyers will only be saving $100K on the Hartnell trade when Coots/Schenn's extensions (if he's extended) kick in next year.
I always felt bad for Tobey throughout the how many seasons. He just wanted to work in peace, and get in pam's pants and neither ever happened. - benjichronic

Still love his speed, and hands.
I think his points per game average is more like a Schenn comparison. - puckhead17
If they could get him for say, 4 years at under 4 million per, I'd have interest, but some GM is going give him 5 years and at least 4.5 per. At that price and term, he's just not worth it.
