Still don't like Gauthier and find his IQ and disappearing acts disappointing for the 1/2 a person who cares about what I write here.

Thanks 1/2Real.

I'm just gonna take over this forum. Move aside, men. Since some people are curious about Myers...

Myers twice in succession just stripped a forward 1 on 1 mid cycle. Effortlessly. First one he skated all the way down ice and dished it for a scoring chance or close to one. Second, poke check then chip out.

He is just a two way force this period. His ability to neutralize and transition and join the rush or help cycle and rip some shots have been great. His straight ahead speed is incredible for a big -- Morin like. But he's more fluid on a pivot and in tight I think.

You should put together a little black book about prospects and sell it to unsuspecting idiots

If you had to pick one what NHL defenseman does he remind you of most now.

I don't know. I've only watched him for this game and a period and a half of another. But he has that ability to just be lockdown, make all the right plays, and look like a good future modern def d guy -- simple and efficient: good vision and passing, quick exits, good coverage through n zone and d zone. Then he will just turns on the jets for a rush, and his stats show he's been a goal scorer, and most of his goals are even strength or short handed (10/14). I'd have to think more about it.

He's bigger than Hjammer. Maybe...perhaps if Morin is a nastier Coburn, Myers is a slightly more offensive potential Coburn. I'm going to keep watching him if I can. He's like the least known commodity among the Flyers higher potential prospects. Really don't want to jump to conclusions with him, but he intrigues me.

Beggars can't be choosers. And, fwiw, Rain Man has a good eye for prospects and LOVES Corsi.

E.J. Hradek just had his Top 5 NHL Defensemen who might be on the move at the trade deadline and shockingly (shocking!) there were no Flyers mentioned.

The Other Weber
Justin Schultz
Kris Russell
Roman Polak
Dan Hamhuis
