Been watching Myers pretty closely for a good chunk of his game. He's really intriguing. What a find. Would've been a late first this year say many scouts....

Calm, poised, plays like a modern defensive d man, good gaps, efficient transitions tape to tape, unafraid to join the rush if it presents, good shot, gets physically overpowered by no one (he's even done good work outmuscling man-animal Gauthier). Knows his simple game, but isn't devoid of good offensive instincts.

Awesome rush by Myers from his zone to o zone. Saucers it across blue line to forward, crashes net, eventually gets the puck rips it on net, but the play goes the other way. Forward covering or other d men (don't know) did a poor job covering -- pass to him, squeaks through goalie. Bad break. Myers hustled back and was in good backup position too.

But he just orchestrated the rush with his good skating and stride. He's got good o instincts.

Hexy sounded most excited about him in the prospect interview. If he is a legit 200lbs that should go a long way in helping him get to the flyers sooner than later

Honestly I'd like to see this next young group have a good solid year with the phantoms next year and have them all compete for a Calder cup. NAK, lindblom, fazleev, morin, sanheim, stolarz, etc

Then Myers's teammate coughs up the puck to NAK who passes....then Myers runs aggressively up and swats the puck away from him and to a teammate to get a zone exit.

Does it get better rooting for both guys?

Nak can play both wings, and Dubois plays all 3 positions. The two way play of that line would be mind blowing. Dubois reminds me a lot of a more versatile slightly faster Coots in his control of 3 zone game flow and off charts IQ. I'd almost rather split them and have them each dominate and control their own line. Put Konecny with one of them.
