Just want the pick... if they take Bickell, maybe they could cheese Chicago out of another really good pick/prospect.

On the other hand, might be nice to have that extra cap space for the coming summer Cap-aggedon instead.... have some really strong leverage when other teams are good and (frank)ed.

how has bickell been doing in the AHL? Is he almost ready for his big league debut, or does he need more pixie dust?

Point per game right now. But as we've seen with our own big contract AHL stud muffin, that means just north of diddly squat. If the Flyers take on that contract, it's as a favor to the Hawks contingent on a better return.

Yeah I agree. We have their second already though....don't know what they'd offer. Hartman isn't all that intriguing to me.

Hradek suggested that Russell might garner a 1st rounder. Schultz will probably be a decent defenseman in a different system. Mike Weber is just a 6/7/8 guy on a playoff team. Remember when Dan Hamhuis was a coveted defenseman? Yeah.. that was 2010.

call me evil but I want them to make it at the 8th spot (if the Flyers don't) and get trounced by Washington so they lose their first rounder and also don't win the cup. if they miss the playoffs their first rounder is protected
