Not only that but he did something to St. Louis to make him demand a trade. Marty looks bad, but you can't tell me that Yzerman doesn't share some of the blame.
- twotoekenn

Really not a fan of Yzerman as a GM. He seems like a total a-hole.

one of the great moments in flyers history. was glad to be in the building for that one. 3 russians combining on the series winning goal...who would've ever thought.

danny markov will always have a special place in my heart.

- hammarby31

Yeah, I was there and it was great. But I'll trade that series win for 1995 or 2000.

They are due to go back to losing to bad teams
- JoeRussomanno

They are going on a run.

Sneaking into the playoffs as tampa misses them.

Getting Couturier and del zotto back.

Winning a first round against Washington.

well yeah. 2000 especially. 95 they were down 2-0, so it's unlikely they'd win. i was in the building for that game 5 loss - lemieux - so the 04 game was a relief to finally beat them. and had they been healthy, they win the cup in 04, so (frank) tampa, now and forever. especially fredrik modin. (frank) that guy. and fedetenko.

Fedotenko and VLC torched us that series. Did Rusty score both goals in Game 7? I think he and Vinny has 2 apiece in game 6.

Maybe he's just being a good teammate and wants to play out the string, he can always go to a contender in the summer. They get in the playoffs anything can happen, he's getting paid either way.
- JoeRussomanno

I guess.

Tough to see.

Be a good teammate and miss a chance at the cup or agree to waive no tradeand go to contender.

Just find it weird Yzerman publicly stated he won't move him. Like not give himself wiggle room.

modin had the winner. that's why i said (frank) him. i know fedetenko scored twice in game 6 and vinny had the first one of a neutral zone turnover by seidenberg. but they won that game obviously, so i don't care who scored for them.

The refs waved(waived?) off an icing that had no business being waved(waived? Seriously I still don't know) off.
- TobyFlenderson

well, NFG blamed me for their losing streaks, saying every time i say they're going to make it they start sucking again. so i'm going the other way. hoping it pays off.

IMO, the Flyers the only reason they are on the outside looking in. Plenty of opportunities to have made up ground so far. No one is running away with the wild card spots, or the 3rd spot in the Metro

That's what I originally thought. Then I kept seeing 'waived' pop up when people were discussing icings so much I started questioning my own sanity.

waive
wāv/Submit
verb
refrain from insisting on or using (a right or claim).
"he will waive all rights to the money"
synonyms: relinquish, renounce, give up, abandon, surrender, cede, sign away, yield, reject, dispense with, abdicate, sacrifice, refuse, turn down, spurn
"he waived his right to a hearing"
refrain from applying or enforcing (a rule, restriction, or fee).
"her tuition fees would be waived"
synonyms: disregard, ignore, overlook, set aside, forgo, drop
"the manager waived the rules"

It has seriously thrown me off...I want to know if it should actually be waived, but waved has been used as slang for so long its accepted? Or if it really is waved
