You would think so, but all of Gudas' recent stupid moves that he's been thrown out have been questionable. penalties yes, but enough to throw him out? I don't know. - Tomfan365
Some of them have been worth tossing him, but the latest one was ridiculous. |

First, I think Hakstol should get a lot of credit for splitting up G and Jake last night. It was perfect timing for it, with Couts being out. The first line was being ground into the ground and the rest of the team was flat. Voracek injected a lot of energy and puck possession into his new line, Umby looked pretty good even.
Second, I think if they trade Medvedev for a middle round pick we will regret it. I think this guy will be a 35-40 point defenseman if he goes to Chicago, the Caps, Tampa or Detroit and I can hear the winging over it. I'd much rather keep him for another couple of seasons until Sanheim is ready and find a solid stay at home defenseman to pair him with. They can use his skill. Much rather trade Streit, although I think Streit is nearly un tradeable at this time. - Marc D
re: Medvedev. I agree and his skill is undeniable. His short leash this season will go down as one of the biggest disappointments for me. I can easily see him finishing the year strong or having a few good seasons for other teams. In a perfect world we do keep him and move Streit, but I dont see it happening |

I can get on board with the Medvedev thing. If they get a great offer then deal him, but if it's for a meh pick, keep him. |

If Schenn keeps playing the way he has for the past month-not just production wise, but overall game-I'd be happy with 25 goals, too.
The production is great, but the overall game is more important. If he's playing like he has been, the points will come - Jsaquella

Schenn was obviously hypnotized to believe Cousins was Couturier since he can only score when he plays with Couturier.
Chicago would need to send salary back because of the cap situation they are in. I thought Scuderi was a UFA and was going to suggest him and a higher pick (can I dream for a first? ) for Medvedev but see Scuderi has another year left. Don't know why I thought he was a UFA. - nastyflyergirl
I think once Scuderi clears waivers they could afford Medvedev's cap hit, but they might want to wait till as close to the deadline as possible with the way cap space is calculated daily. |

part of me thinks Hextall is trying to make decisions on a few guys and doesn't want Weal in to disrupt that process. another part of me thinks he's just not that good. - funmaster18
Yeah. Probably a bit of both. |

it was a nice opportunity for Cousins and I think he is going to run with it.
Like what I've seen so far. |

I don't think I've ever seen a player rack up this many misconducts and only get suspended one time - PhillySportsGuy
maybe because he didn't deserve GM for most of them in the first place. funny those reputation calls. |

But that was the point. There's things called "tact" and "politeness" that you can use to say the same thing a different way. When you go on the offensive and smugly talk down to people on a constant basis with an air of superiority, you're gonna get treated differently than your dance partners. - jmatchett383
Oh, I get that. Quite often though, he gets invited to dance (sometimes passively but repeatedly, sometimes aggressively) and, well, the gloves drop.
Heck, there have been invitations the last couple weeks that he obviously can't respond to.
Of the 5-7 regular dancers, none are innocent. But without too much effort, things could be stopped from escalating as they do.

reputation
Soon the refs will realized that his reputation should be for just general stupidity and not intent to injure. It won't stop the penalties but instead of getting 5 and a match, he'll just get two. lol |

He sucked ass except for one good play on the jake goal. Sabotaged that line all night - Just5
That and the White empty netter.
I guess we'll take what we can from him.
I don't like putting Voracek with he, (Umberger), & Cousins.
Can't see how he'll produce on this line. |

I vote for posters who assume that everyone is against them/out to get them when their viewpoint is questioned or disagreed with and respond with inflammatory remarks.
Go ahead, play the innocent card, I won't be surprised. |

As horrible as officiating has been this season, I think it's time to start reviewing plays before throwing a guy out unless it is blatantly obvious and the refs were staring right at the play. I don't want it to get to a point where all penalties are reviewed because that is stupid and a waste of time, but if the refs are considering a match penalty, the head ref should have a few minutes to review the replay to make sure it was warranted. Make the penalty call on the ice, 2 or 5 mins, but take a look before throwing a guy out. I'm sick of the NHL constantly punishing the result rather than the action. - Tomfan365
My favorite was the ref who was half an ice length away making the emphatic call that was such a weak ass call. bet he felt silly once he saw the replay |
