Pegs a big team!

Would be awesome to grab one of those big D-men.

Trouba would be nice. But I'm sure it will be Sami Vatanen or some other soft midget.

The more I think about it the more I wonder what the (frank) Chara is still doing on this team. We're not winning the cup this year, and we're not winning the cup next year with a 39/40 year old Chara, and we're not winning the cup with a 40/41 year old Chara either...

So if he's still here... and making us just good enough to be a bubble playoff team... then why the (frank) is he still here. The Bruins would be better off moving him and recouping anything they can for him, and dealing with the growing pains for 2 years rather than trying to mask them with Chara.... It's just stupid to have a 40 year old $7mil a year D-man who just barely makes the team good enough to get into the playoffs.

Because of his salary we will lose Loui... for what?!?! Another 2 years of 40 year old Chara... that's just flat out dumb.

Although I want to keep Chara, I wonder if the team actually has considered trading him but can't because he's got a full no-trade. Maybe he's told them he won't waive it

Yeah, I'm sure that's a big part of it... He actually has a full No Movement Clause, which is a step above a NTC...

But I wish he would take the stance of Seidenberg who said he would waive his NTC if the team wanted to trade him, because why would he want to stay on a team that wants to trade him?

Bud. Eriksson is on the wrong side of 30 with at least 2 concussions and is rumored to want 6 more years. Sorry too long and will stand in the way of someone, younger and hopefully more skilled cracking the roster.

If they can move Chara great. I think he can warrant a decent return but be prepared to carry half that contract. He still a top 4 on almost every team in the league. Right now Claude is still trying to use him like it's 2011 and he's paired with Boychuk or 2011 Seidenberg. He needs to be shifted to the second pair and paired up with a legit partner, not Trotman, Morrow, K. Miller, C. Miller, McQuaid ect.

EDIT: Be thankful Chairelli is gone or Eriksson would already be locked up 6 over 6 with a full NTC/NMC. Then you're talking losing Marchand because you can't afford him and in 3 years you're lighting him up you are with Chara now.
