No kidding, there are only 9 players from that draft year still playing in the NHL and 4 of them play on the Canucks.

Kesler slept with teammates wives. You'd sleep with their mothers.

Loseing Edler is a real blow to the tank effort. Without him (frank)ing up the game for 30 mins a night it leaves room for guys like Beiga to succesfully play the position and win hockey games. Kills me to say it....but Edler come back

Edler is so much better than you give him credit for, sure he has his moments but he's nowhere near as bad as you make him out to be....give it a rest.

russell is a defensive liability of around the same capacity as Shultz. I think you underestimate the power of McJesus.

Edit: Let's say they trade RNH for Hamonic and sign a more rounded d-man. Then IMO yes. In fact, I might even check the vegas odds at that point.

- neem55

If im them im doing eberle for vatanen too. Boom defense solved. They can draft a forward this year who will also probably make the team next year and if not probably the year after that.

Funny, he doesn't suggest punishing Hamhuis if he refuses to waive his NTC.

These games are painful to watch. We are playing the worst teams and just squeaking by or losing , all the while Mgmt preach playoffs.

The only excitement comes from the Bo line and the Vey line. It is time to pull the plug on these plugs.

In the great words of Casey Printers. They are trying to turn Chicken Sh1t into Chicken Salad.

The media are fire starters. They spark the twig and watch it grow into a huge bonfire.

For two months there has been Hamhuis talk. Even today's 1040 poll question " What do you do with Hamhuis"

The answer has been abundantly clear all year. You try to trade him at the deadline. If he refuses what can you do? He plays out his contract and shake hands and go seperate ways. Not rocket science but we hear it everyday and helplessly sit here and discuss all the while there is nothing no one can do except Hamhuis or Benning.

I have a feeling this town will riot if Hamhuis does not waive his NTC lol

I sure hope some of the idiot fans here in Vancouver will not go nuts and do something stupid like how the idiots reacted to Milan Lucic winning the cup!

And remember when Mats Sundin was a villain with Toronto fans when he refused to waive? As a fan it would be nice for Dan to waive and then have him re-sign here in Vancouver but he certainly has the right!!

And Benning may have not received one phone call but i'm sure he received many texts

We have one of the worst Ds in the league. We have an expiring contract and a boatload of money, and we want to bring back the same old same old. Sorry not a fan of this idea at all.

I watched Tanev last nigh watch his young team mate get cross checked into to boards . He looked at the hit and without blinking an eye circled away with his head looking at the guy on the ice.

This team has zero toughness , and a right side that consists of Tanev and Biega only. Ther are two right handed tougher players in Gryba and Polak that are UFAs

It is time to fix the D and stop putting band aids on it.

Oh I agree with what you are saying but if its the only way that Benning can get Dan to waive than I would do it. But I would see what the package is being offered for Hamhuis first.

I really doubt that Dan is coming back . I don't think Benning is trying to sucker him into a deal either. They have not even discussed extension all the while Beiga gets extended.

Right now the two toughest Dmen we have are Biega and Sbisa. That is shameful.
Combined goals between Tanev and Hamhuis are five for two years combined. That is embarrassing. These things need to be fixed.

Bartowski Hamhuis Weber all have expiring contracts. Thanks for the service good luck.
