good sign mac is doing well?
or are they content with how the D has played during this stretch?
both? probably a bit of both. - NYRangers1124
I haven't seen Ehrhoff play at all this year, but the fact that he cleared waivers, making only $1.5 million a year, and some teams needing defensive help says something.

We all feel the same way about Coursey but his numbers don't really indicate that but I haven't seen a blue zero so I can't really comment |

Think Erhoff clearing waivers was a part of the trade plan for Yandle? Maybe we've got a few guys coming for Yandle and Erhoff needed to go to Hartford for potential callup?

I'll say this. I really would prefer to not play the Pens in this year's playoffs. Not sure I can deal with the conversation on this board between the two clubs fan bases. There is no respect. It's all just ridiculous. - Pete V
Pete,
during playoffs I dunno I just want to shoot the breeze with you guys on here. I never want to talk to a mass of the other teams fan. Pittsburgh, stay on your board, we'll stay on ours... |

NHL waiver wire is like late-night TV infomercials. You get excited about a product that could be fantastic. Then you wise up and go to bed. |

Nice sentiment Nicky, but you know that never happens. I still get giddy thinking about how MAD that nbartley guy was from last Spring. I NEVER engaged once in trolling the Pens thread & he sent me constant silly, immature PMs slagging NY & the Rangers....after we beat them in 5. Imagine what he must have sent to people who actually engaged him? |

Yep. How about the lunacy of how "valuable" Vermette was last year. |

So I see RD still over there in a certain board.
How do you argue with people who say, Hank is the only reason the Rangers are good, and the defense sucks.
Point out that they lost Hank for awhile last year and Talbot put up better numbers: Well your defense helped Talbot out.
You don't have any offense: We were 3rd in the league in GF last year and 5th this year.
Its almost like they are the comcast help desk in India, who pretty much ignores anything you say and reads from a script. |

Did you know Giroux called Girardi the most underrated player in the NHL recently?

Hating a team doesn't necessarily mean you don't have respect for that team. I've hated/disliked many teams over the course of the years, mostly because they have been the Rangers rivals, beat the Rangers, etc. But, I still respect many of those teams.
For whatever reasons, a good percentage of the Pens fanbase has no respect for the Rangers. There is always some excuse about why the Rangers won, or something said to detract from the win or their overall accomplishments. I can't say I really understand that one, especially since the Rangers have been a bit of a nemesis for them the last couple of years. But whatever I guess. Everybody is free to believe what they want, and to massage reality in anyway they deem appropriate to fit their narrative.

Had a guy on last week, told him exactly what was wrong on his end, proceeded to ignore me and tell me it was my problem. An 1 1/2 later he admitted it was his end after talking to a supervisor. |

Yup, absolutely hate the Devils, but I can respect the hell out of what they did in the 90's through early 2000's. Same with Marty, cant stand the guy because of the rivalry, but if people dont think he is a top 3 goaltender of all time, they need help. |

I saw a quote yesterday that in 2014 Crosby and Co. pretty much thought Boston was the team to beat in the playoffs and didn't take the Rangers that seriously, especially after going up 3 games to 1.
I think Penguin fans share that same sentiment, Rangers got lucky in 2014 and last year they just blame injuries.
They don't give credit at all to either playoff series victory |
