There has been a lot of failure and underachievement in Pittsburgh since that Cup win.

Considering you have had 2 of probably the top 3 or 4 players in the world for a decade now, only 1 Cup is actually pretty sad....

Were you the one that was saying we are all cry babies on the Pens thread? If you were, mate you have a short memory of how your coach carried on............

Regardless of AV whining, you guys ARE the biggest whiners in the league

Crosby has no shots on net
- jimbro83

No denying that stat! Especially after the run he's been on so kudos to the D for that!

But as I said, the shots against must be a worrying stat on top of blocked shots. Going forward no game is the same but if that continues to be a similar stat Lundqvist is going to get hammered before the playoffs even start. Guys the best in the league no doubt!

I'm not too worried about Sids duck egg in this game - earlier in the season yes, but not at this stage - just good D for this game, we'll see what happens in the next one.

But there should be a suspension.

Next day;

I can't believe the guy is playing today.........

On top of his performance on the bench...................

He will forever be known as a whinging sook! (that will never win Stanley!)

I'll bet you, ask any player about what happened & they would all say McD got what he deserved!

Take your crybaby act back to the Pens thread, I'm sure they're piling up the excuses still

You're awfully snarky for a guy who's team was a no show last night. I get it though, far better in here then those bores in the Pens thread.
- B2B76

"Awfully snarky"???

You guys won congratulations - 3-0, everyone should be happy about that especially how we've started putting some wins together!

I'm on here having a chat with Jimbro, then you guys jump in - no problem, just expect the same in return that you throw my way - it's only 1 game & true to form some of you appear on the Pens thread throwing poop around, something which I'm not doing with Jimbro - it's light hearted chirping!!

Both teams missing players, your goalie stood tall Rangers 1 Pens 0. Good luck in the next one & I hope we both have all our players playing.

Dom channeling his inner Messier on that goal. Good to see him get one. Unbelievable penalty on Kreider, good call on the "2 minutes to make it interesting." AV should have gone Ftorek on that one. Great to see no shots for the golden boy, good thing Shrek was out last night. McIlrath proved again that he should stay in the lineup. I'll stop rambling now.

Yeah, if you can't win. Whine and complain about changing the game. Patterned by Lemeiux, carried over to the current fans.

I think we should change the game to not only ban shot blocking, but to ban defensemen in general.

Paint the ice black, use a white puck, expand the goals by 5 feet, eliminate off-sides, switch to 4 on 4 even strength. All of which would allow a poorly constructed team, that spends way too much money on a few forwards to actually compete.

I'll say this. I really would prefer to not play the Pens in this year's playoffs. Not sure I can deal with the conversation on this board between the two clubs fan bases. There is no respect. It's all just ridiculous.

I'm so torn. I feel like our team will dismantle Pitt in a series like we have the last 2 years in a row...but like you said, the whining will be next level. There is such a sense of entitlement with that fan base and they act shocked whenever a team doesn't just let Crosby score 4 points on them. No other fan base like that.

From 2006-2010, the Penguins were just better than the Rangers and it showed. The Penguins had room to go get guys like Gonchar, Guerin, Hossa while keeping Crosby and Malkin. Also I think since J.Staal left, the complexion of the Penguins has completely changed. Also they only have really Maatta and Letang on the blue line. Losing Niskanen hurt them too. Kinda like the Rangers with Stralman.

Not just Niskanen but Orpik too. Orpik for as slow as he is is still a good defenseman that can eat up 20 minutes a night.

On a good team, you can hide his flaws.
