That was a longer rant than I realized hahaha
Tl;Dr Not opposed to firing Claude, Kevan Miller sux, I like Trotman, Rask might be overrated, We need McQuaid - Shaundre93
i don't think anybody would have suggested we'd ever feel this way before the season started. |

Well, here's my two cents on that debacle...
Starting to agree with moving on from Claude. Still think he's a good coach but he is NOT a good coach for a rebuilding team. We need someone who's gonna give the kids a chance to succeed. Remember earlier in the year when we were a fast exciting team that could score with the best of them? Wtf happened to that? Claude must loosen up a bit
Kevan Miller is embarrassing to watch. No matter how well he's playing, you never know when he might LITERALLY give a back door tape to tape pass to the other team. I suppose this is on Cluade as well.
Idk why people are hard on Trotman. Hes a rookie playing on the top pair, and he's shown some good promise making strong passes out of his end and showing he at least understands how hockey works. He is NOT Kevan Miller. He is definitely overwhelmed on the top pair though.
I get what glove is saying about Rask. As much as I like the guy... Whens the last time he stole a game? Hes only as good as the team in front of him it seems.
I think the leadership stuff is nonsense. Find me a team that wouldn't be deflated heading into the 3rd down 5. I think, again, this comes back to Claudes system. At the beginning of the year the B's were flying and were a hard working team. I really think claudes system has sucked the life out of this group. They look like robots out there, no creativity, no speed, no fun.
I still think this team can compete in the east but its pretty obvious if they pulled off a miracle run they'd get white washed by the west. It's hard to say they should be sellers when they could legitimately win the division, but I think it's their best option. Lets ship out Seids for literally anything and try to get a D man for ErMcQuaid.
Oh, and I am still 100% positive everyone is massively underrating the loss of McQuaid. Hes a better D man than anyone will admit - Shaundre93
Perhaps the team has to be patient with Trotman. I don't understand why he is being put on the top pairing. He often times is confused in the D zone on which guy to pick up. If you are in the NHL you should know which guy to pick up.
Trotman would be fine on the bottom pairing. As would Morrow and Colin Miller. These guys aren't ready for their assignments. They need to bring in a top pairing guy and everything else sorts itself out. Then you have;
Chara ?

Pathetic.
EDIT: I did read and it was a nice one. Today is rant worthy as it is a new low. - glove_was_stuck
I mean, I think the guy can win a cup behind a good team, but he doesn't appear capable of covering up bad play the way Price, Schneider and Hank can

Who replaces Tuukka if he gets traded? 2011 Timmy Thomas isn't coming back thru that door, ladies and gentlemen.
Teams struggle for years to find serviceable goalies. Tuukka is still top-10 in the NHL. Can anyone make a list longer than 5-10 guys who are better? |

I'm far from a hater, and I think Rask is very good, but again, what games has he stolen this year? Considering we have 2 very good goalies in the pipeline, I think it's a topic worth discussing.
For 7m for an eternity, I expect borderline perfection and he just hasn't brought that. Schneider, Price and Lundqvist are doing more with less/similar rosters.
Imagine for a second that Boston moved Rask for a top pair D man and some extra goodies and rolled the dice with Martin Jones in net. I think we're a better team today If that had happened |

No poop Thomas is gone.
Why does anyone need to make a list? How does that solve he is overrated and overpaid? The list won't win a cup and neither will Rask.

We don't have a single top 3 D-man right now. A guy that can cover for someone else's screw ups.
Hence, why I don't blame any of the young kids on D right now. Morrow, C. Miller, Trotman..........they should have been playing bottom and second pairing minutes ALL last season.
(Hence why K. Miller and Quaider are short sided foolish guys to have repedative on this team. They prevent young potential TALENT from improving. We will have the same problem next season if we refuse to play the kids and let them develop. DUMP THE VETS!)
Stupid to assume that Seidenberg and Chara were top pairing guys and that SINGLE OVERVALUATION is the greatest problem with this team this season.
Second stupid assumption was that Connolly, Hayes and Beleskey were top six forwards.
Need a couple top pairing guys to figure out what the hell everyone else is.
Trotman, C. Miller and Morrow are being asked to cover for mistakes that Chara and Seidenberg make AND not make mistakes themselves. That's too much.
The Chara 2 on 1 is a "blue-light" special everyday low price! Isn't it getting pathetic that EVERY SINGLE GAME he gives at least one or two away?
How is C. Miller or Trotman supposed to cover for that? Same with Siedenberg's partner, usually Morro.
They need to pull Chara and Seidenberg aside and tell them to stop trying to push up the ice. They can not get back and that's the KIDS "strong side" and it makes the kids play out of position...........where the vets are supposed to be. |
