I think it would be a very difficult sell. Hamhuis isn't like most players. He isn't the type to party and chase skirt while on the road. Most players would love a few months away from the wife and kids but he is a different cat.

When Edler was injured, Lidster had Hamhuis play the most minutes of all the D-men. Now that Edler is out long term, Benning will call up another D man from Utica to play 7th. I am not so sure management automatically accelerates the tank process because of this.
