No it isn't.

Same with Koivu before him.

edit: also, Koivu >>>>> Desharnais

@BWildeCTV
You want more? Desharnais has fewer power play points with 4 this season than Byron has shorthanded points with 5.

It's all unbelievable.

Mistakes were made Pete.

But when you hire an employee thinking he will be better than he is: You bite the bullet on his poopty work? Or replace him?

I dunno where ole Circles is.

Remember when he high fived the ref after he scored?

That was pretty cool.

And that is why we can't blame MT.

No real decent players to put on the ice.

Plekanec is 12th center in scoring. And above him there's 2 play in the same team (Wash and Pitts).

So that means there 19 teams that don't have a center as prolific as Plekanec.

Was he signed to be #1 center?

I don't remember, but 3.5 for a #1 center is pretty cheap, no?

I think most people (including myself) don't understand why he plays so much.

It is because Patches would rather have DD as his center.

That is why.

Solution: reduce both their minutes 'til Patches decides he wants someone else as a center so he can play more minutes. Also, never allow DD on the PP again.

Seems to me that Pacioretty's opinion should be.... disregarded.

Is that because he's being asked to play over his head?

Ok, you're an engineer and you're really good at building bridges.

One day your boss comes to you and says, "Fred, I'm giving you a raise and you're now in charge of building office towers", so you accept the raise and do what you are told, but you fail at it.

Who's fault is that?

You would think a decent coach would agree with you.

But then again, if Galchenyuk is not a center, then Patches either plays with Eller or Mitchell (or Galchenyuk gets to be the guy who never scores next to DD).

Just a (frank)ing mess.

Put DD on waivers, send him to St. John's... they could use the help.

I have zero issues with a player taking money offered (or any person, in reality).

I do have an issue when the person who offered the money does not want to do something about that person when they cannot do the job.

Either MT needs to put DD in a place that gives the team better chance to be productive (lesser minutes or press box) or MB needs to get rid of him (trade or send him to the AHL).

Not every player / contract is going to work out.

But to keep using the player in the same manner over and over is blind stupidity.

If I'm his boss, you're right.

Because I shoulda went out and hired a guy that specialises in office towers and left my bridge guy building bridges..

Where do I mail your prize?

He did a fine job as a #3 center, playing those minutes against other 3rd line players.

He's not a #1, if he was hired to be that, the person that hired him has rocks in his head..
