Most of the prospects in Europe that the Habs have show little interest in playing in the NHL, or MTL for that matter. Magnus Nygren has been a top 3 defender in the Swedish league for 2 year now, signed a 4 year contract with his hometown club; still reported on as if he is a MTL prospect, but he basically said no thanks.

Martin Reway is above a ppg player in 3 different professional leagues now and tends to avoid the question of heading to MTL, but expressed interest in the NHL.

Lehkonen is above average in the Swedish league, but also plays on a top contending teams 2nd line; on a bad team he would probably drown out in the noise.

Also, they are all "soff" players.

It took 3 weeks to make the Tinordi trade go down. Not sure why people expect this kind of major change to go down overnight.
