if trouba wants the money the rumors are talking about no way i make that trade. - mauryballstein
Whenever I hear a rfa asking for crazy money that usually screams "I want out of here" johansen was like that, e. Kane was like that. I think trouba wants out |

Average is 7 + - VANTEL
I don't think it can be. Only 1 Dman makes $9m (Subban), no Dman making $8m, and 6 making $7m+.
If the average is $7m+ then you have to have as many #1 Dman making above $7m as they do below that figure. If only 7 players in the league make more than $7m+ then you are saying there ain't too many true #1 defenseman in the league.
Which I can agree with. |

God damnit, you're not allowed to say this unless you watch Minnesota games, which you don't, because if you did you wouldnt say this.
Yes, he is on the highlight reel form time to time, but he loses most puck battles and plays small. Come to think of it, he'd be perfect for #tanknation |

i'd trade Hansen and whoever (can we slip Burrows in there somehow) + for Trouba.
I'd happily lock him up and overpay to get a 21 yr old, 6'3, 200+ pound, blue chip Dman.
No question.
However.
I highly doubt that they'd trade away their one young Dman (Myers is 26), now that Enstrom, Buff and Stewart on the wrong side of 30 locked up for years... |

this was reported on a different site on Feb. 7th and was pretty close... and is now my go to for rumours site...
"The Jets will make a serious attempt to re-sign Byfuglien before the deadline. One league executive thinks it could take a six-year deal in the $7.5 million per year range."
they actually called this one... not sure if Ek had anything to say on this |

"Canucks GM Jim Benning will have decisions to make with pending UFA defenseman Dan Hamhuis. Hamhuis would like to remain with the Canucks, but he’d have to take less than his current $4.5 million to remain. The Capitals are a team that could be interested."
I think 4.5/ yr for a healthy Hamhuis is not bad... he's still a solid 3/4 dman. I'd give him another [email protected] or 5yr@4mill |

As a poster said earlie if you trade Edler for a first round pick and a prospect plus Edlers replacement even if it is just Hamhuis, is better than Edler
- VANTEL
perhaps it will be...its hard to say so far.
its amazing that with a depleted D core you got guys on here trading away everything we have left. Thank god they dont run the team. Essentially they want nothing left.
Those same guys whine when the trade comes that it was a mistake and whine about the return. - SMBDragon
Some men just want to watch the world burn... no reason or rhyme... they just like seeing everything up in flames... cuz it gives them something else to whinge about... |

Id say Yandle is better then Edler, not but much but still is, and if we can get a pick and prospect for Edler and Yandle for only cap space itd be so worth it - phyllee
grass is greener on the other side.
problem with Edler is that he needs a stable guy playing opposite him. Canucks don't have a lot of guys that can do that...
Edler let loose where he doesn't have so much pressure on him would be an all star again.
i hate elliot friedman but that pos said if Edler was on the market 29 GMs would be calling on him.
Edler is a solid guy but he can't do everything.... |

A competitive spark-plug, Olli Juolevi is a complete, all-around defenceman that can hem the opposition in their own end or make things difficult for the opposition at home; either way, he puts the pressure on and lays it on thick. A strong and balanced skater, he can rush the puck through the neutral zone with ease or backcheck with haste. Uses his size to his advantage, but knows his physical limits and plays within them. Instead of playing overly physical, he makes his presence felt by exhibiting his high-end playmaking ability and puck possession play. All-in-all, a well-rounded blueliner who thrives under pressure and can be trusted in all situations. (Curtis Joe, EP 2016) - See more at: http://www.eliteprospects...6391#sthash.zP3zC6by.dpuf - dbot
that sounds like what they wrote about Sbisa before he was taken in the first round... |

I like the honey badger but he's exactly the type of player that will get you a good return. 2 more seasons at a low cost for a good top 9 player that can move up the lineup. He can skate, check, play defensively responsible hockey while chipping in with a bit of offence. He also has quite a few games of playoff experience and is in his prime. - golfingsince
he's worth a 1st plus prospect or 3rd/4th rd pick to a team looking to win right now (aka Caps/ Pens/ Rags/ Tampa/ Broons/ Ducks/ Blues/ Kings/ Sharks/ Hawks/ Wings)... |

On the Vancouver Canucks …
Dan Murphy: Murphy wonders if Dan Hamhuis even wants to waive his no-trade clause. Murphy doesn’t think he really wants to. The Canucks were able to get Jason Garrison to when he didn’t really want to.
Ben Kuzma of the Vancouver Province: Radim Vrbata has only scored one goal in the past 17 games and is pace to score only 18 this season. The Vancouver Canucks may be showcasing Vrbata, as well as hoping they remain in the playoff race.Vrbata and Hamhuis could be moved out by the Canucks as rental players. The Capitals and Penguins are looking for a veteran top-four defenseman.
The Canucks would be really happy if they could get a high draft pick or prospect for Vrbata. Vrbata on the trade rumors. |

in a league where guys getting 20 goals in a season is considered a solid season, yes 18 goals would be needed secondary production for a playoff push... |

yes, no doubt... but if he knows they are looking to move him and offer to send him to a contender, maybe he relents. they could tell him on the down low that if he helps them at the deadline they'd sweeten an offer to him in the off season from 3yrs@4m to [email protected] then he might do it... what i'm saying is they should be smart and get something for hammer at the deadline by talking to him... |
