As a poster said earlie if you trade Edler for a first round pick and a prospect plus Edlers replacement even if it is just Hamhuis, is better than Edler

Id imagine Edler getting similar to what Coburn brought in. A first, 3rd and Gudas (Solid trade for flyers)

its amazing that with a depleted D core you got guys on here trading away everything we have left. Thank god they dont run the team. Essentially they want nothing left.

Those same guys whine when the trade comes that it was a mistake and whine about the return.

edler is closest we have to #1. Perhaps moving him isnt the best idea....unless the return is crazy good and effectively replaces him. Big shoes to fill though

Or we can just get a better D coach and get everyone performing better then reassess lineup needs

I see you think he is close to a number one I see him as a number three. He makes way too many mistakes . He doesn't stand up for teammates. His production has fallen off.

He has a high trade value right now and we are rebuilding . My choice is to move him and get close to the same skill level with Hamhuis stepping in temporarily

Tanev is decent , Hutton will be decent. The rest should be replaced in the next 3 years

He is a three but I wouldn't have him on my team. If he stays so be it, but there are a lot of fans here that don't like him , his attitude or his style

I guess to nutshell the whole edler thing, Id say fill in the weaker D with better before taking away our #1. The D is already depleted.

Id say pedan has his limits potential wise but tree has great potential to be that #1. We shall see what happens IF and when he comes over and plays awhile.

Anahiem, Philly and Carolina have much better options for Dmen than winnipeg, I think there defense is overrated.
