I think the choice has been made internally, regardless

I'd hope so, having a game plan would be a good start

I know people don't like schultz. And I'm not a huge fan. But I think he's doing things out there that I don't even notice. He does dirty work. I'm pretty sure of that. The goalies love him so I have to take them at their word. So basically I riuldnt mind schultz returning. I hope they can find a partner for streit. I don't know who would have the cap room. Not many

I believe Streit will have value next deadline when he is an expiring contract. that extra year on a 35 plus contract hinders the ability to move him IMHO

Somebody may also be willing to pay a price for him now to have him for the extra time especially if the cap doesn't go up & they don't want to chase the high priced free agents.

I agree with this. But if someone is offering a first or a couple good seconds...I'd do it now. If not, then hold him. But at his age, it is worthy of concern that he might drop of a cliff. If his injury heals, I don't think he will...but you just never know. Holding older players too long does happen. If the market is there, I'd jump. But Hextall loves his veteran leadership factor, so he will probably hold him.

He doesn't look good out there. That's the problem. Like was mentioned earlier a team would need to have an opening on their 3rd pairing, pp unit, and the cap space to do it. I'm trying to come up with possible suitors. The Blues with pietro out? The yotes if their still flirting with a spot?

oh don't misunderstand, not saying I wouldn't trade him now, I am just saying I don't know if they will find it easy to move him this season with another yr left on his deal at that cap hit.

Luke Schenn was 5th overall
15th is three times later than 5th

Noke, we didn't trade Karlsson for Weal and a 3rd. We traded THREE Karlssons for Weal and a 3rd.

I still believe Karlsson and Subban have a Norris each and Weber has Richard.

That's half right. Karlsson and Subban both have Richards as well. So, they have Norris trophies AND Richards. Shea Weber just has Richard.

So if Philly had given up a similar package for Phenuef, what would it have looked like?

Shultz, Read, RJ, 2nd and Hagg?

Help me out here....
