One of Desjardins faults is hes to loyal to certain players, i liked what Pedan showed it was more then enough to keep a roster spot over weber and bart at the time

I thought so too. He was a healthy scratch tonight but what I saw his two games here was worthy of a better look

The Linden trade set everything up though, without that trade there's no WCE, there's no second top three pick for Henrik and there's no Bertuzzi for Luongo.

Yeah, but you can go back and back and back on the assets. What if we got Bert for Linden and the Sedin trade/draft never happened? Are we as excited about it then? Linden was still a great player when he left (or would have been under a coach who wasn't Keenan) and Bert never got us passed the 2nd round with his lazy, selfish play. The Sedins weren't a given when Linden got dealt.

Without the Linden trade we never would of had Bert therefore never had Luongo and without McCabe the deal for the twins wouldn't of gone through.

I guess the pressure of the nation cheering was too much for the Leafs

So I went to the canucks game tonight. First game I've been to in almost 15 years (can't say no to free tickets) and god did they look even more terrible in person then they do on tv. Also I swear there were more flames fans in the crowd then legit nucks fans. This franchise has some serious work to do and although I was never fully committed to the tanknation this team is going to need a lot more then a few playoff games to get people behind this team again.

I think it's become pretty clear everyone in here is on board with the tank. We had a few stragglers that just took a bit longer to open their eyes, but they've finally joined the party.

Just think, if 6 of the 12 games we lost in ot were regulation losses, we'd be in last place.

That game was painful, i'm hoping they are really not that bad and discreetly tanking. Which i'm totally fine with.

I am glad we will finally get a year or two of top picks. Get a first for Hamhuis say goodbye to the old vets and this year is a success.

He logged almost 19 minutes last night which is pretty good considering the layoff. Hopefully the scouts saw that as well

As I've said many times, I can take the losing if it's with kids, but watching the "same old" older players is a show-stopper for me.

Benning has 7.1 million dollars in the minors with Higgins, Weber, Prust & Kenins...three of those contracts are his. That's mismanagement!

Willie Desjardins is in over his head, so it seems, could be some changes this summer?

When players come off of long injuries they usually have a very good game. Dan played well last night but it doesn't change the fact this D needs an upgrade.

I would even go as much as saying he is better than Edler, but can you make that switch?

Edler eats 25 minutes a night , plays in all key situations and is four years younger with a NTC.

You can't bring back both. you can't make change by bringing back the same people and doing the same thing

We are letting go of a few players , we need to ring in a shot that can score 15 g 40 PTs, and we need a protector

Great deal obviously, but the Linden deal had a lot more moving parts to it.

Bertuzzi - WCE
McCabe & 1st for Henrik Sedin
Bert for Luongo (because Keenan loved him)
Luongo for Markstrom
