You can't just throw all the kids in the line up and think it works. Gotta suround them with vetern solid players. Or you become edm for 15-yrs - Bieksa#3
Yup - you can't just throw a bunch of kids out there and say "have at it", it clearly doesn't work. Without a veteran presence you just end up at the bottom for years on end, 15 years is an exaggeration though. |

Veterans are...
a) Getting sent to AHL
b) Getting traded
c) Coming off the books |

I am glad we will finally get a year or two of top picks. Get a first for Hamhuis say goodbye to the old vets and this year is a success. - VANTEL
If it gets him to waive i would offer hammer a trade and sign. but only if is the only way to get him to waive. |

Are u suggesting Higgins and Hamhuis bring the same to the team?

Hamhuis to Washington for 1st + prospect.
Edler to Detroit for 1st + prospect.
Vrbata to Arizona for 2nd.
Tanev to Islanders for Hamonic.
I'm happy resigning Hamhuis so he can play another 3 years here. But we need to trade him and then sign him back in the summer. We need that 1st, and I think he understands that and won't have a problem waiving and then signing back in the summer for 3 years $10m.
Hamhuis Hamonic would be a decent top pairing while we load the shelves. - Scooby_Doo
I would love to see it happen. Perfect Storm |

Edm is on yr 11 and still a ways away |

Sbisa's contract is a mistake. If he had Weber money no one would blink. Thankfully it is a short contract |

Well, that's still not 15.
You have to forgive him, he's going through menopause. He can be a bit of a drama queen on his 'off' days. |

That is why Pedan at 1 mil is a better option |

I like Sbisa. Didn't like him for the first while he was here, but he has grown on me. He hits like a truck. Fights for his mates and is a great skater. The mistakes have went down big time. |

Yup , he is just paid too much. It won't hurt because of the ELC and the short term , but unless he takes a haircut next contract he won't be long term here. |

Even his contract doesn't bug me. Look what teams pay for grit. He's got it in spades. And he's a 4/5 D man. And look what they get. You still have to look at the market to replace what he brings. Sure Pedan at 1 mill brings the grit but is ideally a #7 currently. If he gets better his contract gets bigger |

Agreed. I wish more people would watch his play instead of listening to the media and Phuckers of the world. He is very physical and has cut his mistakes in half. |

Gourmet Nachos with shredded brisket and fresh made salsa washed down with a squealer from the Cumberland Brewing Company. |

He's a guy that advanced numbers don't tell the story. They don't show him defending his mates. Or a hard open ice hit to keep the opponent honest. Since he doesn't get points they just show his turnovers. |
