Nobody is going to want this guy at the deadline. |

Four seasons in the NHL and he has not improved at all. He may actually be worse. |

Price has played in 12 of the habs 53 games and yet we still almost 10 pts clear of the oilers. Sad isn't it? - 1993_Cup_Champs
Holy (frank) are you ever a sad excuse for a person.
The only sad thing is your lame attempts at trolling the fan base of a team your team got one of their oh so elusive wins against. Were any of us trash talking before the game? No? Then go take a drink, rub one out, and go (frank) yourself. Oilers fans are the LAST fans that need to be told their team sucks. |

He really was bad. So mistake prone. A few of them were pretty unforced too.
But I actually think he was only the ice for 1 goal. Of course you want your players making positive contributions regardless of the situation, but the whole team was completely stifled and got no rhythm going whatsoever
Schultz was certainly not the reason we lost
Maybe get a 3rd for him.
Be pretty stoked on a 2nd |

The team as a whole was pretty bad. Hard to watch the entire game. |

It's funny cause generally speaking when people say bench him for Fayne, clendening or reinhart etc I just laugh.
But in a game like that where they're just lining up in the neutral zone and waiting for turnovers and mistakes- u almost want a guy who's not gonna try anything fancy and will always defer to the easy play. Worst case you're probably not outnumbered even if they do pick off the dump.
It's pretty rare I'd say sit the guy that can actually move the puck abit as offence starts from our zone. Especially in our case where we need to skate
But next time we play toronto or Calgary etc, sit him and bring in the big bodies that will always look easy out. Fuk it, if they wanna slow the game down, we can play that way too and just wait for a breakdown to use our explosiveness.
Therrien out coached the sh1t outta McClellan today. Cause lets be honest, mtl is a very mediocre offensive team. No way they should be dropping 5 goals. Even against our defence |

That's the worst part of it too. 5 goals from an offensively challenged team + Scrivens shutting the door to add insult to injury.
The players need to be more physical and not be afraid to throw some hits. |

I'm sure the Oil can get something for Purcell but I think PC can find a better player to play with Hall/Leon in the off season and who knows if he's going to resign with the Oil,I mean if Pc would want him back I think an extension would had happen already,I don't think Purcell is a PC type of player, so if you can get anything now just do it even if it's a pick. - AlEx_OiL
Agreed- Purcell will be gone if an offer is on the table... |

I'm sure Bettman was watching the offensive output by the oilers today and agrees you guys are only a Matthews away from being contenders. Just like u were a hall, rnh, yakupov and a McDavid away... - 1993_Cup_Champs
I get your point- but dont mention Yakupov in the same sentence as those players... Its just not right- at least to this point in his career... |

That sure wasn't much fun
Totally owned the neutral zone and choked off any possibility of speed on offence. Therrien employed a perfect strategy
Saw the loss comin early after scrivens made a few big saves quickly and we struggled to muster much beyond that
Momentum killer - HB77
Yeah for some reason we cant generate wins on national TV or HDIC for that matter- had Eberle or McDavid clicked in their first shots of the game- the outcome might have been different... although- the effort just wasnt where it needed to be on this team collectively... hopefully tomorrow's game there is effort... would be nice to have some of our trade bait show up- to increase interest but we likely know they will end up 'oilering' again... |

If the Oilers play Schultz again tomorrow they clearly are not trying to win. Send him and Yakupov back down to the minors, we won't miss them. - Oildrum
Sending them down to the minors? They would be picked off waivers and the Oilers would get nothing. You are dumb. |

You can't make players become more physical. They need to bring in more of those types of player. Kassian and Hendricks are a nice start but not enough to balance out our non hitting skill guys. |

Yak im on the fence, but whoever picks up Schultzy is doing us a giant favour.
I am at the point where I want him gone, no matter what. Trade for pucks, waiver wire, injured, or early retired, but gone. |

As far as Schultz, I doubt he gets picked up. On Yak, I wouldnt really care all that much. Sure, he gives an effort, but that effort is alarmingly misdirected and horrendously focused. Id rather get something for him, but I doubt we get much of anything. I just think his head cant keep up with his body. |
