The only defense of Yak I will give is he has improved his overall game. He isn't a complete liability in his own end. However it came at the cost of his offensive ability which was his only saving grace. He is now below average to average in all 3 zones.

We have seen him played with each individually and his production with Nuge when played with him has been below 4th line level. He's consistently shows that he doesn't deserve better minutes.

Something that really pissed me off a few nights ago was when Drew Remeda or whatever said that Kassian is a fourth line player.

Unless its for an actual, competent and minute eating dman then you dont do that. Nurse has every tool to be a solid top pair into the future. Him and Klefbom are no goes unless the return is lopsided.

I think that's our problem. It's not the lack of talent on the team, it's the mentality.

Since I started watching they've been doing the same old thing, regardless of the coach.

Like throwing it up the boards, not back checking hard enough, etc.

You dont trade him for that reason. In any case, they certainly wouldnt move Shattenkirk for Nurse. Makes no sense for them. Faulk? You really think he's the answer for our defence? Doubt it.
