Missed the game tonight, looks like we played very well though. I know they just lost Spezza but i just cant take the Stars too seriously with that D.

Defense wasn't as bad as their Charmin Ultra Soft goal-tending. |

hawks had one of their (frank) you efforts |

Kids amazing along the boards, all over the ice and won't take $hit from anyone - molly2522
Loved how he went back at Benn after Benn tried to cheap-shot him at the end there. |

why is there even a question about it? Players cannot play the puck with a broken stick. - powerenforcer
Was slashed and broken as he started the act of shooting. |

Watchijg that one live up here in Christmas Mountain Wisconsin , it wasnt so obvious live . While shooting stick was slashed . Thought it was a good goal live . Think so now after replay.
....but....what I didnt catch was that the penalty rhe refs called ?
Wild were on a PP. Dumba scored but it was a delayed called. Resulting in a goal and a new PP. Was the slash on Dumba the penalty ? Its loud here - mrpaulish
Yes. I believe the slash was on Dumba was the penalty
Coyle just took out Petro with a knee on knee hit and we end up short handed with no call on Coyle. Ugh. |

Boy, did the Stars look bad. Two shortys. That's been a problem for them lately. Hawks were active and focused from the beginning. Crawford is on a whole other level. He was as good as Niemi was bad.
Hawks are looking like they are for real. Best in the west. Stay healthy, guys! |

Im glad cuz that first loss @Dallas was rough, mainly the 3rd period of that game we were embarrassed. |

Vince .
This wasnt that obvious .
Goal was scored from the crease with stick being slashed as shot was taking place - mrpaulish
Literally shooting inside the crease too....bizarre play overall. |

I believe the Hawks just sent a message to the Stars.
You talk about a punch in the face. VERY NICE
As I've said before this team is going to be a very tough out in the playoffs |

True, and Chicago's goaltender was much better. Great goaltending on one side faces 40 shots, horrible goaltending on the other faces 27 shots. 5-1. |

Hawks dialing it up to the highest level. They're now a team that is really dangerous on two lines and both special teams are very good. Perfect? No, but they are sending a message to the rest of the league right now. |

Man, Anisimov was a beast tonight. That Saad trade is looking better and better. Cap room, a 27-year-old, all around 200-foot 2C, Dano and Panik.
TVR played 18 minutes with a goal and a +2. If Gustafsson continues to develop, TVR as a 5D is looking good.
Hossa has kicked up a notch. Shaw continues to impress with effort and energy.
If Crow plays like this in the playoffs, we could see the first back-to-back Cup winners in the cap era. I really didn't expect this level of play. Stan has made a lot of great calls since July. |

2 things:
First of all whats up with the whole Sekac/Mashinter thing? Why aren't we playing Sekac?
Second of all, and this is being ultra picky because i really love the all around game our new 3rd line(Desjardins-Danault-Teravainen) brings to the table....but is it too much to ask for a 3rd line that scores more often? I think we've been most dominant when we've had a 3rd scoring line, and i wonder if/when we add another LW that shakeup causes changes that add some scoring punch and break up what otherwise has been a great, hard working line. |

I think TVR is sending Q a message that he is a top four defenseman
Also showing he has speed that I didn't know he was capsble of plus very calm with the puck
Gus is pushing him to be better |

Indeed. What a fun game to watch. Crawford was superb and tvr and Shaw very solid. First and second lines were strong, not that much from this and forth line. Like Mex said do not know what Mashinter brings to the table and why he is in lineup.
