My choice would be Mathews or the two Finns. I could see it being a split vote for D or F - VANTEL
Mathews is clear #1 and my 2nd forward is Tkachuck |

Me too. Thats the problem with having no quality D prospects it kinda traps in to wanting to not take best player available.. see the oilers |

I think it's fooluch to hand all 3 of Pedan, Tree and Biega spots. You sign another good d man and if those guys play well enough you have a nice problem in your gands - Bieksa#3
Agree....you need a veteran presence back there or your gonna have three times as many Edler fire-drills a game. |

I heard that about Ekblad as well. I'm not sure what you guys are looking for in a d prospect - Bieksa#3
We've never had success with a first overall pick d man, doesn't happen. Not worth the risk. Allen took forever to develop and become a really average d man. Bourdon same thing, and before he died really wasn't living up to the hype.
I don't see an Eklblad in this draft, but you never know... |

I agree with you that there's good defencemen available later in the first round or even into the second round if there's no clear high-end guy like Doughty on the board. |

They will all be under contract and Pedan and Biegie are waiver risks. I don't see them assigning Tree to the Comets next year. I could be wrong.
Edler Tanev
Hutton ?
Sbisa Biega
These guys all have contracts. |

For some unknown reason u guys overlook the weakness in forwards games and maginify them in the D game. You as bad as anybody. Remember your love affair with Reinhart dispute his skating?

Its really tough to say chech and the russian both seem to be putting up similar numbers and not watching makes it tough to call.
Would anyone here take the russian over chechyrun? |

It's hard to say Bourdon never lived up to expectations. He died following his first year of pro hockey that he split between the AHL and NHL. The kid was 21 years old. |

I have way more of a problem drafting college players than russians. That NCAA rule is (frank)ing garbage. |

We really don't know how our ad looks until we see Tryamkin play. Is he a top 4 or is he Andrew Alberts. The fact that Canucks are concerned enough to pull some strings to bring him over makes me think there might be at least something there. |

I know Griffin that's why, he's been awful though. Foot speed is a major issue.
Top 10 pick and you are taking a d man you better be damn sure about him. Both d ranked in top 10 have glaring holes in their game. |
