What do you have against Dan Hamhuis?
- CanuckDon

Hes not the 2011 version of Hamhuis, he would be a good top 6 dman but i would much rather a tough cheaper Pedan in that spot. Team needs to get tougher on the defensive side.

It's pretty funny that all of Canada will be cheering for the Leafs tomorrow.

They can't help themselves. The rest of the country wants them to pass their team.

Flames, Jets, Leafs, Oilers, and Sabers all need to win tomorrow, Leafs and Oilers in OT

A trip to the woodpile would make things a little smoother.

Hamhuis probably has $2.5M worth of value left. He's not a bad depth option, but he's only top 4 because Edler and Hutton are both ahead on the left side. I would offer 3 yrs at 2.5 per
- Max.Betts

Thank you! I was sincerely looking for people to give me the value of a) edler b) hamhuis c) any other player on the team

What's the price of Edler??

What would be the value of hamhuis at this point. Maybe Cowen + a pick would do it but that would be assuming he really isn't the same D-man he was. Sens also don't want to do below
Tank, tank, tankety tank; I said tank, tank, tankety tank.

If this is true, won't the Canucks benefit from trading the Sedins (certainly would bring a boat load for a team looking to contend next 2-3 years). If $ is retained ... just imagine.

The Canucks played ok last night but they lacked energy. I suspect if they had Virtanens intensity they would have won the game. Even if the kid isn't scoring he does tilt the ice in the right direction
- CanuckDon

He does bring it and had great possession numbers and corsi for what it's worth...

I want vrbata, hamhuis, burrows, tanev all traded... Tanev is soft and didn't add offence. He's just more reliable than the other guys we got. Hamhuis cuz he's to big of a cap hit and can still get us a first and prospect from a team making a push. Vrbata cuz he can provide secondary scoring when he's engaged and could get us a decent pick 2nd and prospect from a team making a push. Burrows is a playoff performer and might be the depth guy a team like Dallas needs in the bottom six who can do spot duty in the top six...teams will pay for that if they think they can win it all. I think ducks, blues, stars, should pick him up...

Yes and no. Yes, it'll bring in picks/players, but it would decimate the culture and learning curve of the new players. If you read the interviews with the young guys, they talk about how much the Sedins influence them and teach them on a day to day basis (on and off ice). They might be two of the best role models in the league to have on your team and your young kids learning from. Plus, they're talented as hell so it's not like they're Prust. Some people are for trading them, I'm against it. Plus I don't even think it would ever happen, so the conversation is pretty moot. You just don't want to go full Edmonton.

Per Hamhuis, I wouldn't mind him coming back for max 2 years to incubate and teach some of the younger guys, especially in a 5 slot. If there's an upgrade, clearly you try and get that, but I don't think too many great D are hitting the market this year, and we don't have any blockbusters in the system, so I feel that incorporating any young guys in like they're done with the forwards this year is best.

Wrong wrong wrong... No one in my home will cheer for them ever. Even if aliens send a team to earth and for some reason the only way to save humanity from annihilation is if the leafs win a game against the aliens.

I'll cheer for the aliens.

If he is your 6th best D man you have an Olympic D core

I'd love to trade Hammer for Bowey and a 2nd and then resign him in the summer. Hamhuis told Ian Mac he'd take a pay cut to remain a canuck. 2 yrs 7 mill
Then Edler for Anthony DeAngelo, a 1st and Matt Carle
