Lindholm and Vatanen are both RFA's, so it's possible. Everyone else on the list is either not worth it or not going anywhere. Maybe Benning gets a TDL deal done exchanging with Colorado or Dallas Hammer and a pick for one of their d prospects but I doubt it. Siemens and Oleksiak both seem to be the real deal, just outside of ready for NHL duty so I don't know those teams let them go.

wouldn't hate it, but Stamkos is quite a bit better and a bit younger than Lucic and a center. Stamkos is 25, pretty ideal guy to bring in when you plan on contending in two or three years.

If Stamkos is actually available on July 1 and he is willing to sign with the Canucks, then I think you have to do it.

The Canucks will finish with a top 10 pick this year which is hopefully going to be one of the d men. This also takes a lot of pressure off Horvat and Mcann and you could afford to move one of them in a package for a top 4 dam. There would still be a lot of cap left over going forward into next season as well.

#1 Centers are extremely difficult to obtain. This means Hank can pass the torch to someone we know can handle it without question. Stamkos would give this team so many different options on the ice as well as Benning from an asset management perspective.

I would take Lindholm because of his size and he is younger. But this fan base doesn't seem to like 6'3' Swedish defensemen so I'll go with the Vatanen

We should not be looking at Vatanen in my opinion. Subban and Biega fill our small Dman quota and Tanev isn't big either.

I swear some fans are so shortsighted. Have we already forgotten how our D got obliterated by a plug named Ferland? We need speed and size. We are making progress but our D has a long way to go
