Why not shut him down and do surgery if it's that bad? Write off this year and have him ready for next season. Also, as a habs fan, I really don't want him playing in the world Cup later if his knee is this bad.

Luongo is Canada's goalie...wooo!

Holtby and Crawford would play well enough to win a gold medal on a dream team if getting gold is that important.

I think it's safe to say with Canada's talent it would take a meltdown to not compete. Whether it's Luongo, Holtby, Crawford or Reimer.

So dumb, he's atleast a month away still, and he will be super rusty for a while if he does come back this year. How many games is he going to play by the time he's back to Carey price form? 5 games? They will be 10 points or more out of playoff spot at that point.

Ya, it will be a joke of a tournament anyways. I wonder if any players will refuse to go. If I'm Jonathan teows and I make another long cup run this season, I wouldn't spend half my offseason playing in the nhl money grab tournament. I already won Canada two gold medals in the Olympics and have played a poop ton of hockey in the last 5 years.

Those stats over twice the games are significantly more impressive. That said Reimer has been good this year

What's all the drama with Price anyway? I don't get it.
Maybe Habs management were told it would take 6-8 weeks, so of course they take a chance on him coming back. Not doing that would have been stupid, especially that at the time of the injury Habs were 1st in the league.
They sure didn't expect to go 1-25 in the next two months!!!!
Now things are different. they will re-evaluate the situation and yes, Price will probably have the operation. But what difference does it make??? Surgery in December or surgery in March, he's out till next fall anyway!!

Ice Canada's B team and screw the results. At worst they could compete for Bronze. Hell, I'm more interested in seeing the Young Stars team. McDavid and Eichel...YESSS

That team will be interesting for sure. If they win, do they sing a mash up of O Canada and the star spangled banner?

Well you've got two (frank)ing stubborn 'you know who's' trying to save their skin.

Things could get ugly in the Bell Centre if the Habs put up a stinker against another bottom 5 team.
Is Josh Gorges still playing for them? I miss his extended cliche interviews.

How many more losses do you need? Have a number in mind?
They're now in 12th place Pete. That's a lot of teams to pass to get to 8th...

It makes a difference that trying to perform while requiring surgery is not ideal to his long term health and if they continue to do it for no reason given that the season is lost. Today's rehab clearly looked like a set back, and if those setbacks are causing additional damage thats the drama
