I had a similar call a couple of years ago. The guy on the VM told me that I owed unpaid taxes and the "Canada Revenue Finance Division" was demanding payment or "cops" would show up at my "doorstep" or place of employment.

It was pretty funny.

Yep. Same one. I said that the IRS usually sends a notice by mail, rather than call. She says that they sent one to my address XXX Cluster(frank) Road in 2011. Told her I didn't live at that address in 2011. She said I signed for the notice. I said she's lying. Then there were crickets.......and she hung up.
