In fairness to Bergevin, I'm sure he knew they were a little bit challenged offensively. But was willing to take the gamble that defence and goaltending would bail them out one more time this season... None of us could imagine how l low they'd go without Price for an extended period of time.

with Bergevin, if you look at each individual offseason, you can rationalize it. but when you look at the entire picture, 4 years, his entire body of work here, that's when it becomes evident that he's really not done much and hasn't moved the team in one direction or another. had Pierre Gauthier been in charge these 4 years i'm not sure much would be different.

at least poop was interesting when he was here. hiring English coaches, trading players mid-game, firing assistant coaches during warm up. guy kept everyone on their toes.
