They all suck. - Pecafan Fan
this is true. there is not one player in this lineup that doesn't suck right now. Gallagher lost his mojo. and even Subban is losing his at this point. he's held out longer than most but he's starting to look like a beaten man. |

they maxed out around +30. so it's actually impressive that they're just now at even. that's a lot of close games they lose. #character - DoubleDown

well then you have to bring in a new GM. if after 4 years on the job Bergevin doesn't have much to trade with, that's his fault. other teams find great players outside of the top 10 in the draft. Montreal stopped doing this after Gallagher in 2010. - DoubleDown
I'm getting there slowly, but I'm not there yet.
MB made the mistake to sign players instead of trading them (Eller, Plek, Markov...), let see if he can fix that error. If not, I agree, replace the GM. I'd say he has 12 months to go. |

Condon was good enough to give them a chance to win 80% of those games. |

for me it depends. if he's going to sit there all summer and do absolutely nothing for a 5th straight offseason, i would rather see someone else get a crack. but if we know he's going to be active/aggressive, sure he should get one more shot. |

it's really impossible to say. Condon is just regularly outplayed. in games they lost 2-1 or 3-2, i'm not convinced that Montreal wins those games by scoring an extra goal or two because i think that in most of those cases, Condon would just give up and extra goal or two as well. he's fine as a backup for 15-20 games on a good team but as a starter, he's a train wreck. |

Maybe they could throw 5-7 million contracts at some undersized UFAs |

true. because the only moves made in the offseason are oversized contracts to undersized players. nothing else happens. |

I think he's done very good.
Considering he's a rookie, that he plays in the league's most difficult market, that he has to fill in for the best player of the league, that he rarely get the offensive support needed to win.... can't ask anything more from the kid. |

I disagree but I respect your opinion.
To me the main reason is the powerplay. They always sucked at 5 on 5 but had a killer PP, PK and goaltending.
The PP has been horrible for two years+ but Price's performance made them think they were a good 5 on 5 team and the powerplay was a minor thing that could be fixed later. |

no you can't ask him to outperform his capability. he's kept them in some games but you're not winning many games with a .905 save percentage. |

you are not getting .920 sv% with a team that makes this many defensive zone turnovers |
