Assuming he accepts his contract offer in 2-3 months.
- classic321

He will, his father is a fan of the Canucks. Boeser I am more worried about.

Of course he will! His dad went to UBC and he grew up on the West coast. Kid is stoked to be a Canuck. Look forward to seeing him shine in Utica next year!

Can't remember who it was trying to tell me Gaunce was a center, but I thought I'd share this as it is also a good article

Wow Anton Rodin looks quite awesome! Of any of our prospects this guy looks the most impressive.

Most blue chip (non-goalie) prospects sign after 2 seasons in college.

After that you can start worrying.

No need to be concerned about Boeser. As he was a first round we would receive draft compensation if he signed elsewhere. Also, he would have no insentive to play 4 years of college as it would stunt his development. He looks like he may be able to play pro already...pretty impressive first year.

Do you waste 1 of the 50 contracts on Kyle Pettit or let him re-enter the draft

Don't know

3rd best Face-off man in the OHL................ But he can barely score as a 20 year old.

tough call, I say no.

I agree. It was more of a shot aimed at Vantel.

I won't listen to 1040 anymore. Terrible.

Why fire anyone? JB and crew are doing the job most people want to see. Last season they touted change but it's this season that they are actually doing what they promised.

Really? He is 25 and already flunked out of NA hockey. Worth having a look but he remains a fringe prospect.

The Idea of being a impact player on a young team with JV, Bo, Hutton,JM, HS,TD, I dont see how something like that wouldnt entice a player into signing a contract with us.

Our team 3-4 years down the road could be downright dangerous. If he doesnt sign hear its because he's got to big of an ego. In that case I dont want him here anyways.

We don't need Eriksson or Schultz. We need our draft picks to work and smart trades and signings

He could also be a late bloomer. Just hitting his potential now... but that leg injury won't do him any favors. I'd still be fine with a one year contract to see what he can do. Worst case you bury him on a line with Higgins in Utica.

No. we don't need either.
We need help on the backend though.
A low risk 1 year contract to JSchultz could work out. Might not, but it could.
Lord knows we have enough bottom pair Dmen on our team, but if some bodies were moved around, i could envision a place for him as a 6-7, 2nd PP, low pressure sorta situation.

They have until the end of his senior year to sign him, he's only in his second year of college, whatever they call that down there. Sophomore?

I doubt he spends four years in college though.

I think he wants to get into the AHL asap. He knows that he would look at max 1 season in AHL and if performs properly would start backing up Markstrom as soon as Millers contract is over. Possibly even next season TDL depending on how he is doing and how Markstrom is doing.

doubt oilers would trade w us at all...for memory I do not recall any trade w edmonton n nucks in last decade. Nothing big anyways.

Honestly I would be very leery of anything from their roster not named NURSE....and thats clearly not happening

I think Canucks should look at making an actual hockey trade like the Flames did for Hamilton . You see guys like Vatanen being up to be moved why not try to aquire him.

At Centre we have Hank right now but after that we have Bo Sutter McCann Vey . We also have Shink Boeser and a few high prospects . Maybe an offer something like McCann Boeser and CBJ second for a player of that ilk on D?
