#canucks were not satisfied with Brandon Prust. He's now on waivers.
no kidding.
his first handful of games he looked okay... hasn't looked good since coming back from injury. |

I thought he was good early in the season, had an impact. Time to move on. |

I was wondering if he would have had any value later, closer to tdl, but if he doesn't belong in our lineup, why would he look any better on a playoff bound team.
disappointing.
little chance another team picks him off waivers.
moving on. |

If Chicago picks him up he'll turn into a 20 goal guy. |

It's a shame Prust has no value...sadly I think we will be disappointed at the TDL. The only guys that have value are Hansen and Hamhuis and I doubt they move Hansen. Hamhuis has a NTC so that's not even in Bennings control. |

would that mean we won the Kassian - Prust trade? but have nothing to show for it except his production, 5 points in 9 games in October?
If we see Prust picked off waivers, salary cap savings will be of some consolation but expecting a trade if he is indeed moved. |

@botchford If they saw this coming, and you could argue it was inevitable, it doesn't make sense to flip flop on scratching prust for the NYR game
always the devil's advocate, but if Prust was barely in the lineup, not getting it done, a step behind, maybe his little hissy fit caused WD to think he was pumped for the game? have a good showing and maybe increase (from not showing anything to a little something) his trade value while they were on their eastern road swing?
but Prust was so invisible, it sure didn't help his trade value.

Utica is going to reach a point where they are going to have to scratch veteran players as they will have too many (there is a rule in AHL) |

Same until the Anahiem game where he did nothing to stand up for his team mates and then his post game comments. Not a team guy here. |

my ideal scenario would be to send JV and JM to Utica next year. if I remember correctly. one of the main reasons for keeping them both was to have control on their development. In Utica we will have that. A coach using the same system, have control on nutrition, training and icetime and chemistry. Have them both on the same line as Shink. Develop that chemistry. At Canucks use UFA and Utica players to fill.
Sedins Sutter
Bear Bo Hansen
Etem Vey Burrows/Gaunce
Dorsett UFA Zalewisky
UFA
Edler Tanev
Sbisa Hutton
UFA Biega
Pedan
Miller
Marky
Spend about 10 Mill on all of the UFA. Get guys that will have trade value at TDL if we need to move them. AKA no Cracknel or Weber type.
Keep about 4-5mil in cap space and take advantage of teams that need to move salary.
This lineup will not get us in the playoffs but will get us to develop line chemistry for future and draft well. |

That would be hilarious if Higgins or Prust were scratched in the AHL |

not sure if this is the end of their careers or their struggles can be attributed to injury and not being 100% and we'll see them back?
Either way, I like the kids getting into the lineup. |

So basically you want to have the exact same year next year as we are having this year.
