I don't know what "showcasing" him for a night accomplishes. Everyone knows he's a very good AHL goaltender that hasn't had a shot in the NHL. If he plays great (or terrible) tonight, is anyone's mind really going to change?

I genuinely think that Capuano believes this is the most prudent move for the team.
