Holtby and Ovechkin are both sitting out tonight's game. You can bet Holtby will be in net Thursday. Ovechkin will be well rested. You'd think they'd want to start Halak tonight to put their best foot forward in an effort to get 2pts tonight before an extremely difficult game on Thursday.
- eichiefs9

Also get Halak in game shape for Thursday. Get a game under his belt because you know isn't that the reasoning for starting Berube tonight? WTF?

They have to be thinking this every (frank)ing day. Imagine what his meetings are like? Practices? Different line combos in practice?

If I wasn't going to the game tonight I would be rooting for Berube to be terrible and the isles to get embarrassed

Wouldn't you if you were a professional athlete? Can't blame them I would have tuned him out a month into his first season. It's pretty obvious he's a moron.

You're going tonight? Between Capuano and you being there these guys don't stand a chance

When is a good time to put your NHL goaltenders in? Well they do have to get in eventually after not playing right?

If Berube gets shelled tonight guaranteed they'll be some made up phantom injury for either Greiss or Halak. Maybe both I won't put anything by this coaching staff and management. Even if Berube plays lights out this is moronic.

Absolutely. If Berube gets killed tonight mark my words there will be some undisclosed injury that their little puppet Staple will throw out there into the twitterverse. The Wild have been struggling lately and are battling for the playoffs at this point you can bet they're going to come out strong right out of the gate.

No, the sad thing is I actually believe Capuano. I think he legitimately thinks that because Berube played while Halak/Greiss had off, that he is the best choice to play tonight.

That line of thought hurts my brain so much I think it gave me an aneurysm. It's logic I would expect from a 5 year old.

Berube's conditioning stint has reached its limit, so he had to be recalled or waived. Mayfield up in case Boychuk isn't ready.

Yeah that's fine Staple so you start Halak and have Berube back up.

It is not a good idea to try to think like Cappy. It hurts like hell.

How the (frank) does this guy still have a job. I'm serious! How?

I've set the bar so low regarding his decisions and he still shocks me. I just can’t make sense of it.

I'm really wondering what is going through Halak or Greiss's minds right now? You know here I am, been an incredible asset to my team, saved their arses numerous times this season, literally won the team games, etc. Just coming back from a long time period off and here the coach wants to play our 3rd string goalie over me. Awesome.

I really wish JT went to Garth and the owners and asked for Cappy to be replaced after the Caps series.

Yep. They've both played well this season. They've had a week of rest. They're probably itching to play.

Then Crappy comes in and tells them they won't play because they haven't played. Which logically means they can't play the next game either. Or the one after that, or the one after that ...

(frank)ing stupid. I hope one of the blasts him in the face.

Yeah said that before. I guess they'll never play because Berube will always have played more games then them recently. Its Berube from here on out

Nothing exciting going on. Just a bunch of confused people replying to Staples tweet.
- eichiefs9

And Staple not replying to any of them. Nothing but crickets over there.

Berube did win the AHL Calder Cup with Manchester last year so he's not new to pressure situations. Nobody figured Greiss for more than a backup so I don't question every decision.

I just wonder how long JT will put up with this til he does a Stamkos.

He is a backup and played very well as has Halak. So what the (frank) are you throwing a third goalie into the mix for if your the coach?
