Kadri? The only C he could replace is Marleau, and Marleau has a NMC and doesn't want to leave to go to a tanking team. And I am sure the leafs don't want a 36 going on 37 year old C.

Thornton has 25 points in his last 19 games and his game of vision doesn't degrade quickly like skating. Couture just came back from injury and the Sharks are 12-3-3 with him healthy this year.

And we have no cap space.

No, tanking is losing on purpose for a better draft position, the leafs and just not very good.

Kadri may be a good center but you have to notice the little things. Every interview I've seen the guy in he's always talking about himself, like the world revolves around him. Last interview media asked him about his increased playing time on the p.k and instead of turning it to a positive for the team it was all " That just goes to show coach has a lot of confidence in me and I can play the two way game well and yada yada yada". He's not a team player and IMHO I think he's gotta go.

Babcock and Lamariello talk very highly of the guy though. I'm not sure if that's a trade trade tactic to increase his value or if they're content sharing with other GM's that Kadri isn't going anywhere. I don't know I'm not in the locker room or in the office with these guys, all I know is I'm loving the direction Shanahan and management have taken the Leafs.

Putting together a team that is junk/cant score and cant win is tanking...If the leafs where trying to win Nylander/Brown etc would have been playing in TO this year...

yes actually he should. Shows character, shows that he cares about the guys in the locker room not just himself. Maybe mention the few bright spots on the team like Rielly play improving, Reimer putting up career numbers, possibly Babcock and how he's changed the feel and attitude in the room.
