It doesn't make sense for the Blues to trade Shartenkirk unless they're specifically targeting someone. I'm sure Army would entertain a good offer, but I doubt the Blues are interested in any teams targeting Shatty, simply because they don't have to trade him. The Blues would likely be looking for a dance partner who is in desperate need of defense, allowing them to command an overpayment of offense.
The Blues don't need Kadri, have no use for PAP, and trading for Yandle would be asinine. The Blues need a 1b center. Edmonton is a good dance partner at the moment. |

I can buy that the Sharks have interest in Shattenkirk.
Kadri? The only C he could replace is Marleau, and Marleau has a NMC and doesn't want to leave to go to a tanking team. And I am sure the leafs don't want a 36 going on 37 year old C.
Thornton has 25 points in his last 19 games and his game of vision doesn't degrade quickly like skating. Couture just came back from injury and the Sharks are 12-3-3 with him healthy this year.
And we have no cap space. |
