I liked how competitive it was. I like the new format. And seeing John Scott score two goals was the cherry on top. Aswell as the MVP. And one Giant middle finger to the arseholes that tried to keep him out of the game.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic. But for the first time ever I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Best all star game by far

That was very good. I'm glad I watched it. Worked out well for Scott.

if only
EDIT: I hope Demko signs this off season so we can have him in the game. So annoying needing a goalie since they have markstrom as trash in the game.

I know right? He's a horrible person and I hope he burns in hell for making a joke out of the All-Star Game. How could someone like THAT be the MVP? Someone that actually gave a damn about playing in the game itself and wanted nothing more than to play hard and enjoy the moment because likely he'll never play in the NHL again... he should be shot.

Jon Scott did more to foster goodwill and generate positive publicity for the league this weekend then all the self absorbed stars did combined. The way he embraces this experience and shared it with the whole world, Bettman can get (frank)ed if he can't see what an over the top success it was to have the peoples champ participate . I had such a negative attitude about that guy for a long long time, and I was so wrong about him. He's all heart and character and I'd have him on my team anytime !

No kidding, maybe instead of sending 'stars' to the ASG, why not send players like Dorsett or Prust or Hansen, instead of the Sedins. Let's have an ASG where the teams play the kind of hockey that they play all year, instead of a glorified game of pond hockey. At least this year, with the 3 on 3 format, and with Jon Scott, especially in that last game, the two teams actually tried hard and were actually playing hard and trying to win. I noticed actual puck battles and backchecking involved.

It also helped that there was money on the line for the star players

I'm sure John Scott is a real 'good guy', and he seems pretty smart, I'm sure he'll have a great career as a broadcaster or NHL GM when he retires from hockey. If I were an NHL player making $8 or $10m a season I'd be pretty embarrassed that Scott was the MVP. Just shows what a joke the game has become.

If I were those players, I wouldn't care, there's no need for an ASG during the middle of the season anyways, why not have it during training camp and have the best players play a game against the previous Stanley Cup winning team (with all it's players from that team intact for this one game) like it actually was before it became this corporate showcase that nobody cares about anymore.

For real? Do you think anyone is showing up and treating the all star game like it's a career defining moment. Lighten up man. The players don't take it seriously, why would you? It's for kids and corporate sponsors.

Thank goodness that's over, didn't watch the last two matches, went to "The Finest Hour" instead (good movie), now we can get back to counting down to February 29th.
