First change I would make is get rid of Bergevin... Unfortunately, he just got an extension!
2nd change would be out Plekanec... Unfortunately, Bergevin gave him an extension.
3rd change would be out Therrien... Unfortunately...
Pathetic...

Habs should have signed Gallant who was the Asst Coach last Year. Players love him and he wins everywhere he has coached.
Unlike Therrien who players despise and who doesn't win.

Habs are still Carey Price and will miss the playoffs.

Leafs would have no interest in Condon.

If they ship out one of Reimer or Bernier, it wouldn't make sense for anyone else other than Sparks or Bibeau to become the back up for the last 1/3rd of the season, while the other would take the reigns and be the horse for the Marlies playoff run.

The one name Montreal has that would intrigue the Leafs as a goaltending prospect would be Zach Fucale.

Reimer and a depth scorer (Grabner?) for Fucale and a mid round pick would be something that would give both teams what they are looking for.

Depending on their cap room after the deadline, I would imagine that Ray Emery becomes backup for the Leafs if Reimer or Bernier are moved for a non-goalie while the 2 young guys get playoff experience on the farm

I can fully acknowledge that the habs are awful right now and rely on carey price too much but they have the required pieces to turn it around pretty quickly. Not many teams can boast the best goalie in the world, a top 5/10 defender, and a top 10 goal scorer in the league. We even have a few solid complimentary pieces...not enough but a few.

As for prospects we're middle of the pack in the league - which isnt bad considering where we drafted.

So all in all yes the habs suck right now and cant score but to say they have no star players, no prospects, and no chance at a quick turnaround (not this season) seems fairly shortsighted.

Is there a better guy to rely on, though? "The Habs suck without Price," while maybe true, isn't all that relevant. Price isn't injured every year, and the Habs will be a much better team when he's back healthy next season. He's on the team. They're still a good team. They are just missing their best player (who happens to be the most valuable player in the world).

I won't be surprised at all if this Habs team, with some tweaks and a healthy goalie, finds a way to win in the next few years.
