If the Habs did this rediculous trade , it would be every fans final nerve we would all boycott this team until management changed, that would be 3 brutal trades in a row that does noting helping our team ,

I understand as a habs fan this must be hard for you to hear but... The habs a a terrible mess... I don't understand where your prospect depth is? If montreal had any top flight prospects at all they could call one up to help the team score.. The only problem is there is nothing there to call up.. Montreal has 3 third lines and the worlds best goalie. I hope the GM takes this chance to look at the mess he has built and fix it. Price can't score goals and he can't coach... Happy i'm not a habs fan

MTL has sweet (frank) all..

no prospects.
injury prone players.
old players.
no star.

but a superstar goalie.

they have nothing we want. Let them suffer. They should trade any asset they have, even price. Im not sure someone would even want PK with his contract.

No star? Subban says hi. I'm pretty sure every team in the league would take subban if he's available .

I want a balanced team. No overpayments.

And PK is such a dippoop sometimes.. whines alot, dives 20 times a game.. those giveaways the last couple games were pathetic... at least he owned up to it.

Wasn't it Reimer who Toronto fans wanted gone last year lol How fickle fans are.
- xShoot4WarAmpsx

Most of us still want him gone. And Bernier

Before we start debating who should be the Leafs future goalie shouldn't we wait a bit to see if Sparks or Bibeau can develop into a starting NHL goalie? We need to give these guys a chance and keep them in mind before management turns to a different solution.

The leafs want a good return for him so why would a team who doesn't want him after this season make any sense I wouldn't be giving up crap for a player I had no intentions of keeping.

They have prospects. None Labeled as "grade A", but that doesn't always mean much.

The way this years going they should get a decent shot at one of those mind you

Shot in the dark:

Leafs trade Reimer before the deadline leaving Bernier alone in goal for the remainder of the season.

Leafs acquire picks or a prospect for Reimer. Bernier slowly regains his confidence increasing his value by a bit.

Leafs then trade Bernier at the draft for picks or a prospect and resign Reimer July 1st.

So end of the day the Leafs would get two solid mid round picks (2nd or 3rd) and a goalie prospect in return from both trades and the Leafs would have Reimer resigned for a few more years while Sparks / Bibeau develop with the Marlies.

Not much of a long shot it could happen

Reimer is mostly going to want a long term deal and as good as he's been this year he's had a lot of ups and downs so I don't think leafs risk signing him long term. As well by the time the leafs are ready to compete truly he will be past his prime.
