He will be moved. Yzerman needs to make a move sooner rather than later at this point. I would be surprised if he isn't moved within the next week.

I don't think Yzerman needs to do a dam thing. No way would I make a deal, unless I got a deal that improves the TB Lightning. If not, Drouin can sit and let his career go by, and lose time that he can never get back. Drouin has control in the sense that he can play at a level that makes TB play him and put him in the lineup. That's what's lost here. Simply play, and force them to play you with your play. Otherwise, as a player in reality, you aren't worth spit. He has not come close to earning the status he thinks he has.

Ive been pumping up Jost for a few weeks, going off what I've read. Smaller Toews with fantastic play making and two way play. Committed to UND. Seems like a Flyers pick if he's there. If they make the playoffs he won't be though. Probably.

If he's not traded within 48 hours, I doubt he's traded until the draft. These shenanigans are going to hurt his immediate value, and unless Yzerman had something imminent, I'm not sure he wants to "reward" Drouin with a trade after he and his agent decided to go nuclear.

This really does nothing to make the process faster, unless Yzerman gets a deal that gives him full value.

What a circus

Interesting, some NHL execs feel that the Lightning could try to toll Drouin's contract, which could make him more valuable.

For one it would extend his ELC for a season, which certainly would be attractive for a team cap wise. Also, if Drouin doesn't play 2 more NHL games this year, his UFA status is pushed back a full season.

Honestly, I want him less after this. He went to the AHL, started hot, hasn't done poop for 4 or 5 games, then leaves the team?

I'm not sure I'd go higher than Laughton, Hagg and a 2nd or 3rd rounder. And I'm sure somebody would beat that. But I have real concerns with this kid's maturity and attitude after this nonsense.

It's funny, but leaving the team could potentially cost the kid millions of dollars and delay his RFA and UFA status.

Only reason I'm still interested is that with us he comes in and is THE left winger. No one is going to take his roster spot any time soon. Frankly if he were drafted by almost any other team he'd be a regular NHLer by now and no one would be any the wiser of his attitude or lack thereof. Who's to say how many players in the league wouldn't have acted the same if they found themselves in the same situation?

At this point though I'm not offering up anything more than one high end prospect.

How can you do that? It's not like the Flyers won't have to deal with the agent at some point with another client. I believe Cousins and Straka have him as their agent. Perhaps someone they draft in the future or are interested in as a FA. Best case is Drouin has an "oh poop" moment and drops him himself.
