Went out for a quick overnight ski trip yesterday, missed the game.

Nice to see Mason get the shutout.

I'd love to add Buff to this group, but not under a trade case. Basically you have to give him what he wants after that point as you will have wasted what you gave up for him. Not a fan of being held hostage unless its with some kinky handcuffs.

I'd have interest as a UFA, but depending on term. The years is what will be killer in his next contract.

4 years would be as far as I'd go

The unfortunate thing is some moron GM will give him more. He would be nice to have on the Flyers, and I'd strongly consider a move to forward.

The Isles were certainly missing a couple of key defenseman, but in my opinion, the Flyers took whatever game the isles had away from them.
Other than breaking up the top PP unit, and changing players, what other moves can they make with the current roster, to improve the 2nd PP unit? Honestly, it's really the first PP unit that should be more concerning.

Michael Del Zotto really stands out as nothing special on the PP. While I believe him to be playing over his head at even strength, he's doing a very acceptional job defensively and offensively.

Schwartz is slated for RFA status this year isn't he? I wonder if St Louis would consider a move there? Laughton+ could be a reasonable offer.

They love Jaden Schwartz. I mean he's 23 and basically a 30 goal, 60+ point forward. The plus would be one of our top prospects

I don't see St. Louis willing to move Schwartz unless you totally blew them away with an offer.

Obviously he has been traded for BigBuff. Now don't we all feel silly thinking EK is an idiot.

Guess is as it's always been with him it's either inconsistent or he's hurt.

Kid just needs to learn to go all out, every shift. He'll play well for a while, than completely disappear. He's still young enough to hope that one day he'll get it, or is he just to laid back for his own good?

Problem is it has been his MO since pre draft. All the tools; no fire. Strange case where people rave about his off ice work ethic, he looks like he is built of pure muscle, but his compete level is lacking. He's still only 20, and he can perhaps pull it together yet. But sometimes you are what you are. Bill has said before he'd probably thrive more in the tighter NHL structure than in the AHL's more open feel.

No choice if not others will pass him by quickly, I'd imagine some have already.

At best, not including Ghost, he's 4th behind Provorov, Morin and Sanheim. He could easily fall further by Spring.

He'll end up being a throw in to complete a future trade.
