I would have been happy with just a 3rd in that deal. The fact that we got a young kid on expiring RFA deal is just a bonus.

A young kid they will probably resign to a two way deal or something. I couldn't imagine him getting anything real big plus he might get a good chance to showcase since Flyers are rebuilding a little.

I would buy VLC out after this season. I know it's dead space for an extra 2 years, but I just want him gone. Heck, I'd even throw in L. Schenn if someone would give us a 3rd for them. I'd even retain 50% of both of their salaries. But no way that's gonna happen, so buyout.
